Villa Monyet is set in a lush, organic tropical garden extending right to the beach front where you can enjoy a cup of Java whilst checking out the surf at the Reef Break. Another 10 minutes stroll will take you to the main beach or Point Break. Made up of 7 rooms with the good privacy and each with different vibes.

Villa Monyet is located in the middle of Batu Karas, an idyllic fishing and rice farming village. Batu Karas is a refreshing alternative to Bali and is ideal for travellers and backpackers who want to get off the beaten track, and discover the real Indonesia. Batu Karas is a hassle-free zone, where local villagers will be happy to just smile and say hello. Villa Monyet can provide you with authentic and relaxed introduction Java's stunning beauty and culture; you can relax by the beach, swing on the hammock, laze on the daybed, or opt for something more adventurous, such as surfing, body rafting at Green Canyon (just 5km away), treck to several fantastic waterfalls, or cycle around the ricefields and village.






The Jungle Kitchen
Open for Villa Monyet's guests and public 7:30 a.m until 10 p.m. Swing on the hammocks or chill around the Jungle Kitchen's teakwood trees while enjoying the delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's a great place to make friends, pick up tips and travel ideas from local surfers and musicians. Breakfast under the teakwood trees is free for Monyet's guests and whilst the Jungle Kitchen offers western and fusion cuisine for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The Jungle Kitchen is not just set in oasis of green, but it is also going green; helping preserve Indonesia's majestic tropical forests, by going palm-oil free in all our cooking and reducing plastic waste by offering free water refills for all guests. Villa Monyet also supports a local organisation Bale Tau with beach clean-ups and environmental education.

Location

Villa Monyet Batukaras is 30 kms away from Pangandaran beach. And 5 kms away from the beautiful Green Canyon.

The closest town, Cijulang, is 5 km away. There is no public bus from Cijulang to the beach, travellers need to take a motorbike taxi (ojek) from either Pangandaran or Cijulang bus station or ask us to organise the privately chartered comfortable car to pick you up from your hotel or the airport.
