The Chennai suburban railway is a commuter rail system in the city of Chennai,Tamil nadu, India, operated by the southern railway zones of Indian Railway. It is the largest suburban rail network in terms of route length and third largest in terms of commuters in India.
Today, I have traveled in local trains from Chennai to kanchipuram . Even though I have own vehicle , i would prefer Chennai local trains, you will be happened to meet many characters. Among them, my eyes concentrated only on few characters.
*Try to get seated with college students. You will feel happy while listening their conversations, if you are lucky enough then you will get chance to hear good love stories and good gossips.
*try To take a seat in partially filled long compartment and take a window seat if you feel alone. You will get easily if you choose a opposite route to where mass crowd moves.
*If you notice, people travelling in this train will not sit simply, most Uncles reading newspapers, Antys talking with each other, most of the girls using mobile but few girls will open their books and study. Boys will not sit at all,they always stand and travel. Most are magnet of girls and some are singles.
*Don’t miss to buy samusa from visnally impared rules personal. 4 samusa for just 10/.yes ,really taste good . It’s big value for them. We can see them in almost all stations in Chennai local.
In local trains every things are sold . Vegetables ,fruits ,snacks and home needs. Vegetables and fruits are sold because farmers used to travel here and there.
