At least that's what it feels like. I didn't even get up this morning until almost 8:00 - didn't go walking. Of course I have a good excuse. I think it was raining. At least by watching the weather last night, it looked like it was going to be raining this morning. I really didn't hear any rain, so I don't know if it rained or not. The real reason I didn't get up was that I didn't go to bed until late because Jeffrey wasn't here, and I have a really hard time going to bed when I know I'm sleeping alone. I did not sign up for that.
Jeffrey went to Stevens Point last night, because it's like 2-1/2 hours from here, and he had to be on the golf course early this morning. He was hoping it wasn't raining. Every year his company hosts this golf thing - their customers and vendors pay money to play golf, have dinner and win door prizes. Company employees get to go play golf and have dinner, too. They act as hosts for the event and even get paid for doing this. Of course, Jeffrey isn't complaining about getting paid to play golf. I just hate that he has to be gone. They won't even get done there until 7:00 tonight or so, and then he still has to drive home. The money the vendors pay for this also goes toward the scholarship fund, which will hopefully benefit us in the future. Any help paying for college will be greatly appreciated - so I suppose it's all worth it in the end.
Also, even though he's off playing all day, I will probably go out and mow the yard for Jeffrey. Since the kids are working this afternoon, they can't really do it. That's the main reason I didn't worry about getting up this morning to go walking. Mowing will give me plenty of exercise, and the yard definitely needs mowing. It is amazing the difference some rain makes - not that long ago the yard was all brown and crunchy, and now it's green and growing like crazy. Today's a good day for it, because it's only supposed to get up to about 80° - and then get all hot and humid again tomorrow.
I'll wait until the kids leave at about 12:30 for work and then go out and do that. So, I'm just being lazy until then.
