The Question Is

Should I start saving these egg cartons again? I had two bags of egg cartons I had saved up and gave to my parents when they came up here to visit. See, they have their own chickens and, therefore, their own eggs. They brought me some nice brown eggs, too! We had some of those for dinner, actually, in this nice Chard and Cheddar Omelet.  I liked it a lot.  Cory liked it.  Beth didn't complain, but didn't eat much either.  Jeffrey didn't exactly turn up his nose at it.  Anyway, that's beside the point.  I still had store-bought eggs from before the parents came, and now I have the carton sitting on my counter while I try to figure if I should start saving again.  Or will the ones I just gave them last forever?

And in other news:  zucchini bread is in the oven.  I just had to say that, and now I'm off to wash the dishes.  Of course, when I clicked to the recipe, I noticed a typo, so I'm going to have to fix that soon - because I just can't leave it alone, now that I know about it.

In My Garden Today

I knew there would be zucchini needing picked.  Well, I hoped so, and I wasn't disappointed.  I picked 3 fairly large ones.  I could have picked them a day or two ago, but I just didn't get out there.  There are 2 or 3 smaller ones that will need picked pretty soon, too.  I think it's time to make some zucchini bread or pineapple zucchini cake.  That sounds good!  I made chocolate bars not too long ago or I'd make the chocolate zucchini cake.  Enough chocolate for a while.  That's right.  I'm not a real girl.  I'm not addicted to chocolate.  I like it, don't get me wrong.  I'm just not addicted.Image

While I was out at the garden I also:
  • took some garden pictures
  • picked some lettuce
  • cut chard - that should've been cut sooner too, probably
  • pulled 3 radishes - Cory's already eaten 2 of them.
  • picked a banana pepper
  • found baby green beans on my plants - yes!  I will have green beans before too long!
  • pulled lots of weeds
One thing I noticed while pulling the weeds was that, even though it hasn't actually rained, contrary to the predictions, there is still moisture in the soil.  So that's good.

Zucchini!

I picked the first zucchini from my garden Monday.  My parents brought me the first zucchini from their garden and some from my brother's garden.  It's already Thursday, and those zucchini grow really fast, so I'm sure I need to get out to the garden and most likely pick some more.  You know what this means.  I need to use those zucchini!  Before they take over the world.  I'm prepared.  I linked to some zucchini recipes I like and want to make again.  I think this Zucchini Casserole sounds good for dinner.  I really want ratatouille, but I don't have any eggplant.  I wonder if it would be good without eggplant?

Off to the garden!

And it's an anonymous posting. Those drive me crazy, and I shouldn't read unsubstantiated writings. And one anonymous account shouldn't be set as the standard for millions. I could give an equally…

I wrote a college paper (and failed the class as the prof was a lesbian) on homosexual unions. At the time there was a big kerfluffle on how the ancient church used to ordain homosexual marriage and…

Yes, if there's a clear separation that could work. I'm a bit worried about the freedom of religion thing too, but maybe if it was very very clear that there's a difference between the government's…
