I remember the first days as a new resident to SecondLife, I was completely lost and confused. I had come from a very heavy roleplay background, mostly fantasy and mythological based. Creating characters like Sidhe, Dragons, Centaurs, Satyrs and other preternatural beings was highly appealing to me, and when I stepped foot in Second Life, that was the first thing I wanted to do.

My pursuit for fantastical things was a rough start, but once I dug around using search I came across what to me was the foundation of my fantasy based Second Life. Fallen Gods, Inc. is where I bought my very first fantasy skin, a dark nearly black skin that was for my otherwordly creation that was basically made of shadows, thus the dark skin. Fallen Gods was the choice for me, and I was highly impressed by everything within the store and the detailed island that the store resided upon. When I think fantasy, I think Fallen Gods so when Petites came out and Fallen Gods was on board with the amazing frenzy that is Petites, I had to get one.

Unfortunately the female Fallen Gods Petite avatars were out first and the male came later, so I waited very impatiently for the release. When release day finally came I rushed to get mine and what you see below is my creation using the Petites avatar to create a very wimsical and bardish Fae being, Riley.  We even created a little home for them on our sim.

Gabriella and I have had a great time creating our petites since their release, and we are always seeking out fun things to use for them or add to their very tiny yet still huge wardrobes!

But enough about my love for Fallen Gods and Petites, let’s get to something of complete amazement in a small package. I’m talking about Petites Kingdom a petite sized sim made especially for the wee little ones!

For me, Petites offer up the whimsy and wonder that we lose when we move from childhood to adulthood. Those wonder filled moments that have you imagining the dead tree down the street is really a dragon in disguise, the backyard is a treasure filled forrest that faeries live within and you swear you can see them out of the corner of your eye, but they are too fast and wisk away on colorful wings, giggling at your slow reaction compared to their swift movements from flower to flower!

Now on to even more spectacular small sized fun that is sure to be hugely rewarding! The Crystal Hunt will be starting on the opening day of the Petites Kingdom sim. on Saturday, September 29 @ Noon SLT. The hunt will start at noon SLT with celebrations starting at 3pm SLT and going until 9pm SLT. Big or small all are welcome!
