Migrate to Paddle Billing

If you use Paddle Classic, we encourage you to migrate to Paddle Billing to take advantage of the new features and improvements.

What is Paddle Billing?

Paddle Billing was released in August 2023 and is built on the same platform foundations as Paddle Classic, including fraud prevention, global tax calculation, and access to over 200 countries and territories.

Paddle Billing includes:

• A developer-first API and SDKs for popular programming languages
• Improved webhooks and JavaScript library, including an npm package
• Starter kits and templates, like billing.new
• Better subscription and billing workflows
• New features like one-page checkout, saved payment methods, and customer portal
• Full integration with Paddle Retain
• Hundreds of improvements released in since 2023

How to migrate

You can use simple screens in the Paddle dashboard to migrate to Paddle Billing from Paddle Classic.

You can activate Paddle Billing in your account to explore without impacting your existing Paddle Classic integration or data. Nothing happens to existing subscriptions or other data in Paddle Classic until you choose to migrate.
