LUX AETERNA has a fantastic set of clothing for men and women that went together beautifully. The men’s Biltmore Three Piece suit is at The Men’s Department and the women’s Annette Afternoon Frock dress is at the Vintage Fair. Beautifully made with great detail these outfits inspired us to fit them up and go out and enjoy the past in some great places.
The first night we quickly did a tour of 1920’s Chicago. A RP sim which is quite active as both nights there were at least 30 people there all doing their thing. It is very well laid out and there are a lot of places to enjoy as well as take pictures. We particularly liked this car. The second night we have our regular adventure night and we started out at the Time Portal, going through the 1920s New York Time Portal. Here we enjoyed the wonderful build and sat on the corner for a while watching the happenings around us.
Complete with a sweet little China Town.
We took many pictures here of us and the outfits, while we enjoyed ourselves and talked about things in the area. We were sad to find out that Sonatta Morales passed away this year, but her store remains in 1920s New York as a testament to her creativity.
After enjoying 1920s New York we went through a time portal and came out on the train platform in 1920s Berlin. A fantastic build, which we walked around in and enjoyed thoroughly.
After we finished walking around Berlin we went to a Speakeasy called The Pharmacy for some great swing dancing!
Watch out for the thug out front. I guess even drug stores need some protection. *wink wink*
The Pharmacy had a wonderful band and a great dance floor. They have events there every Saturday and Tuesday from 6-8PM SLT if you’d like to hit them up during one of their events.
After some drinks and dancing there was one more 1920s type place I wanted to take her. Of course this late at night it was closed but that only made it more romantic. The 1920s Marvelous Moomintoog Circus.
You could still hear the sounds of the circus on the night air, the smell of the popcorn and excitement. They have a great Flickr group too which I will link to below. I look forward to seeing some events here in the future.
All in all it was a fantastic 1920s dive into Second Life’s swing era. There are more places like our favorite the Savoy, but this was all we would fit in to one night and frankly by the end of this adventure we were worn out.
