Syllabus Generation

Inspiration

We wanted to make a course scheduler that is based on a syllabus since many classes can be disorganized and unclear when certain classes are and what are being taught.

What it does

Using the sylla-buddy, you can generate a course schedule with lecture, lab times, and practice questions for each day.

How we built it

We have a React frontend, a Django backend, and we use ChatGPT API to generate the schedules.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the frontend to the backend had some difficulties.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have played with ChatGPT API and to build a full website from start to finish.

What we learned

We learned a lot about prompt engineering.

What's next for Syllabus Generation

Some advanced features would be generating exam questions or creating solutions for questions.
