Important Discovery Made!

ImageAfter many years of careful planning and design, I have crafted blueprints for a working, life-sized Gundam.

Actually, if that were the case I’d be out extorting governments. But I did find some good stuff.

Preview – Gundam 00 Season 2

ImageI must have been living under a rock for the past few days or weeks (God I hope it isn’t months) to not have noticed the trailer for Gundam 00 Season 2! Also, this is a pretty straightforward fanboy rundown of my Season 2 expectations.

1/144 HG Graham’s Custom Union Flag

Overview:
ImageThis was a kit I bought because it seemed like I was getting a bargain. I paid $15 CAD at a super-asian mall here in Toronto, which was decidedly cheaper than the $24 for 1/144 Gundams. I would’ve paid up to $20 for this at the time, since I just love the Flag design from Gundam 00, especially the colors on Graham’s custom Flag.

Revoltech ARX-8 Laevatein

ImageThe Revoltech ARX-8 Laevatein is here! Well, almost here. August 15th seems to be the Japanese release date (Kaiyodo Online Store), and I will assume that September 30th is date most North American distributors get their hands on this (ToysLogic). As for costs, it’s ¥2590 (~$24.73 CAD) compared to $25.99 USD (~$26.31 CAD). Supposedly, the original price of the item from ToysLogic is $32.99 USD (it’s currently on sale, although how $26 for a 12cm toy which I can’t even build can be considered a sale is beyond me). Shipping from the States back to Canada is also quite expensive, but luckily purchases under $200 CAD do not require duties to be paid. Probably, buying directly from Japan will be the cheaper way. Plus, you get to have it earlier.

1/35 Guren Type-02 Model Kit

Overview:
PhotobucketI had a friend order this kit from HobbyLink Japan a little over a month ago, and it’s been sitting on the backburner until now. HLJ lists the current price as ¥2000, which amounts to roughly $18.97 (CAD). Regular international shipping will cost ¥800 – ¥900, which is another $8.50. Even with shipping, the product ends up being cheaper than most retail prices in North America (I saved 25%).
