This movie is an all-time favorite of mine. My entire family went to see this at the Drive-In movie theatre and it was actually the last weekend for that particular Drive-In as it was demolished soon after. If you are a parent, I’m SURE you’ve seen Ratatouille, therefore there is no need for me to carry on about how incredible it was. Along with it’s great story-line, and state of the art animation, it also paraded across the Grammy stage later that year. Ratatouille was awarded Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media at the 50th Awards Show. The award itself, should receive an award for the “longest” award category name. Geesh!!
Grammy Chase Day 12, also the 12th Day of January. So HAPPY 12th day to you! Today is a day of transition. 12 represents the end of a cycle, or nearing of completion, put easy enough. 12 is a powerful number. It takes 12 months to make ONE year. 12 Disciples. 12 Days of Christmas (song). 12 zodiac signs and so on and so on. A dozen eggs. Jim Kelly for the Bills wore number 12, but you can interpret that one however you like.
How the cycle or transition of 12 manifests in your life, I’m not sure, it’s different for each individual, but as for me I woke up so early this morning that technically, it was still evening as far as I was concerned. I woke up at 4:30 am, rightfully enough to just turn over and catch more shut-eye. However, I’ve learned that when you get up ahead of time and obey the body, its much more rewarding. See, we’ve all been in the “Morning Math Trap.” The Morning Math Trap is when you wake up and you see the time on the clock and you start doing quick math facts in your head trying to determine how long you’ve slept already, how many more hours you THINK you need vs how many minutes or hours you can really get away with; all the way down to the time you leave out of the door and the short cuts you can do in order to make up on the time you wasted in the bed, if that makes sense. YOU KNOW what I’m talking about!
Well, I used the time wisely to really sit and contemplate and plan my day as best as I could. SILENCE. I think that as parents, waking up in the morning is key to our sanity. I spent well over 45 minutes to myself, reading, meditating, being thankful and grateful for the things that I have and the things that I expect. I didn’t have to chase the dog. No yelling at the boys. No cooking. No washing dishes. No chores. Those chores will be there when your finished. Take some time for yourself and stop CHASING the clock because you woke up later than you should have. It’s smooth sailing right now. 6:48am, with time to make lunch, breakfast and tea and get out on time. SWEEET!…up until later tonight when I just crash out from being up so darn early.
Lets see what this 12th day brings today. In the meantime. watch the throwback…DEDICATED to all of my friends that remember what it was like when the TV had only 7 channels with aluminum foil rabbit ears and pliers on the channel turning nob.
The age-old saying “I got, she got, he got (has) GOOD HAIR!”…FINALLY, something to really talk about.
As only a few comedians can ever do, Chris Rock sheds a comedic yet serious light onto how and why African-Americans (mostly woman) choose to perm, relax and put weave into their hair. Personally, I’m a “Love what you have sort of guy.” But who am I to get in the way of ones wallet and their contribution to false hair and a $9 billion dollar industry. GOOD HAIR

Just to give a little background on this video and song.
Basically it went like this:
Both of my children hum songs to themselves all day long (school, home, car, bathroom etc…)
I was working on some music with a recording program open, and I called my youngest over to the computer. I asked what song he was singing, and he replied, “A song that I wrote in my head.”
I hadn’t heard the words, only the melody, so I was interested in seeing what he would do once I hit the record button on the laptop…and THIS is what came out.
The drawings are his as well, which I just kinda cut and edited to fit the song. Enjoy. And the answer the question which is sure to follow…”NOPE!! We don’t know who SUSAN is…!”
