Save As, the Right Way: MBS + Nick Hunter’s Multi-Select UI - Day 3

Tired of FileMaker’s native Export / Save As feeling like it’s stuck in the 90s—one file at a time, clunky dialogs, no real control? In this webinar, Nick Hunter shows how to use the MBS Plugin to build a modern Save As flow in FileMaker, including his exclusive multi-selection UI so users can pick exactly what to save, where, and under which name. You’ll see how to: Replace native Export/Save dialogs with a clean, MBS-powered Save As experience Let users select multiple items in a custom UI and export everything in one shot Apply dynamic filenames, subfolders, and rules based on your own business logic Keep a simple log of what was saved where for support and auditing By the end, you’ll have a reusable Save As module that makes FileMaker feel like a real modern app—without fighting the built-in export steps.

iCloud Contacts: Real Contact Sync for FileMaker (Multi-User) - Day 1

Tired of this? Tired of exporting CSV / vCards just to get your FileMaker contacts into your iPhone? Tired of your Contacts and Companies living in FileMaker while your phone and Mail app use a completely different address book? Tired of manual copy/paste between FileMaker and the macOS/iOS Contacts app? Tired of users updating phone numbers on their iPhone… and your FileMaker data staying stuck in 2005? Tired of having no proper multi-user story—each user with their own contacts chaos? Then this webinar is for you. Join Nick and learn how to use the MBS Plugin to build a real bridge between your FileMaker Contacts / Companies tables and the iCloud-backed Apple Contacts app—for multiple users, each with their own account. In this session, you’ll see how to: Use MBS CNContact functions to read/write contacts directly from/to the Apple Contacts database. Map FileMaker Contacts and Companies cleanly to the Contacts app (people, companies, phones, emails, notes…). Store and use stable IDs so FileMaker knows which Apple contact it’s linked to (no more “mystery duplicates”). Push new/updated contacts from FileMaker into iCloud Contacts Handle multi-user setups where each user has their own iCloud account but shares the same FileMaker solution. Add safety: preview changes, handle conflicts, and avoid “oops, I overwrote all my contacts”. By the end, you’ll have a blueprint for turning FileMaker into the single source of truth that still talks natively to Apple’s Contacts app—so your users’ Macs and iPhones stay in sync without hacks, without exports, and without doing everything twice.
