Catch Up...part 1

It's been a long hiatus...here's a bit of a catch up in pictures....not in order...we had fun vacations to California and Texas, birthdays, school events, sporting events, church events, family gatherings, holidays, etc...

We love you Elle!

Sweet Elle passed away February 8th due to her injuries from the accident. We our so heartbroken and will miss her! We feel lucky to have shared the short 4 years with her and grateful for the joy and happiness she brought into all of our lives. We'll never forget you Elle!

My niece Elle was run over by a car Saturday evening and is at Primary Children's Hospital. She is in critical condition but hanging on. We are cautiously hopeful that there will be a good outcome. She is on life support, but showing signs of improvement. Please pray for her!

Scott is 41!!

ImageHappy Birthday Scott!! We love you! Here are 41 things we love about you (although there are many more than that!)...(not sure why the "H" won't work?)

1. He is very intelligent and easily understands how things works

2. He genuinely cares about people and what they say

3. He loves older people so much and always makes them feel important

4. He works hard to be the best doctor he can

5. He puts up with anything placed before him (including an onry wife, patients, staff, co- workers)

6. He always wishes he could be better even though he is great at everything

7. He takes great care of himself, eats healthy and exercises regularly

8. He doesn’t put up a fight if anyone takes advantage of his niceness

9. He is the opposite of lazy, he is always working on something

10. He is the best honey-do man alive (a house project never goes unfinished)

11. He loves his parents and is a great son to them. He’s always concerned about their welfare

12. He is a great brother. He visits Mark regularly, calls Chad regularly and would do anything for his siblings at a moment’s notice

13. He doesn’t ever gossip about anyone

14. He can thrive and function perfectly on very little sleep

15. He loves physical challenges. He loves to run up mountains and push himself as hard as he can

16. He can give a talk or lesson on a moment’s notice and does an incredible job

17. He rarely complains about his severe lack of personal time

18. He puts everyone else’s needs above his

19. He will do stuff like go shopping for hours and pretend he likes it to make his wife happy

20. He loves to help neighbors and family members if they need medical advice, treatment, or his trailer J

21. He’d rather have a old school truck than a porche

22. He has a great sense of style

23. He reads church books whenever he gets a chance

24. He loves to take a 30 minute nap right before bed

25. He always has a pile of books under his side of the bed

26. He’s willing to change his soda of choice on his wife’s request (although we still haven’t come to a good one)

27. He been known to seriously crave spinach, carrots, peas, broccoli, squash, oranges and blueberries

28. He very rarely gets offended

29. He’s a deep thinker

30. He has a mind full of one liners and puns (he should write for James Bond movies)

31. He makes everyone think they are his best friend

32. He remembers people’s names and something interesting about them and makes them feel special

33. He can strike up a conversation with anyone and within minutes knows something unique about them

34. He brings home treats and little presents for the kids all the time

35. He is loved by his patients…they buy him clothes, fruit baskets, chocolates, toys for his kids, write thank you notes and send cards

36. He’s been told (and I strongly agree) that he looks like a good-looking college kid

37. He makes everyone better for having known him

38. He always goes out of his way to say hi or talk to someone he knows

39. He is loyal

40. He can fix anything

41. He is an incredible example to his wife and kids

So I have fallen quite behind in blogging! I am going to try and be better! I don't want to miss out on recording memories that I will surely forget! We had a great Christmas and holiday season! Scott took a week off work, so we had a lot of fun with the kids. We had several family get togethers and lots of cousin time. Here's a few pictures...
