About
HopperHacks is a day-long, social good-focused hackathon to encourage students to make an impact on relevant issues that are facing societies around the world today, such as mental/physical health, education, and the environment, all by applying their technical skills. This hackathon is hosted by Stony Brook University's ACM-W chapter, Women in Computer Science (WiCS). WiCS's mission as an organization is to bridge the gap between women and men in computer science, and we work to extend that to all minority groups. Spring 2026 will be WiCS's 11th annual hackathon, and will be held in-person at the Stony Brook Student Activities Center!
Welcome to this year's magical coding championship!
We invite all magic users, from experienced coding wizards to first years at Hackwarts, to embark on a two-day journey of creativity, collaboration, and enchantment.
There will be feasts, games, and rewards for the brave, the clever, the loyal, and the ambitious, so grab your wands and head with us to the Hackwarts Express!
If you have any questions, please contact us at wics@cs.stonybrook.edu.
