Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez reiterated Monday that Türkiye’s discovered gas in the Black Sea will start to be delivered to the main system on Thursday.
The valves from the wells have been opened and the gas is now being pushed through the main transmission line that runs under the sea, he said.
“We started to press the gas into the main transmission line under the sea as of last night,” Dönmez said. “It is expected to reach the land in the next 30 hours.”

The Sakarya gas field, off the Turkish coast in the Black Sea contains 85 billion cubic meters more natural gas than originally estimated, Turkey’s emerging economy still does not enjoy a strong country risk ranking, and FDI for large hydrocarbon projects does not come easy these days. To attract international majors to Sakarya, Turkey needs to prove attractive geology and reserve data, and offer an array of economic incentives. Only then can it confidently hail the game-changing prospects of this new find. Foreign direct investments (FDI) are investments made by one company into another located in another country.
Barclays docked the pay of its ex-CFO Tushar Morzaria and its current top executives by a combined 1 million pounds ($1.25 million) in February over the securities blunder. Glass Lewis said the deductions for Morzaria did not go far enough. The adviser said it objected to long-term awards that vested last year, under which Morzaria was awarded nearly 3 million pounds after the deductions, representing 70% of the potential total pot.
Barclays paid a $200 million fine to U.S. regulators last year for “staggering” failures over several years that led it to oversell $17.7 billion of structured products and forced the restatement of 2021 financial accounts.
While the exact reason for the split was unknown, it could be due to Murdoch’s reported discomfort with Smith’s evangelical views.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Model and actor Jerry Hall and media mogul Rupert Murdoch have agreed to the terms of their pending divorce, her attorney said Thursday.
Hall filed a request in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday to dismiss her original petition for divorce from Murdoch, which she filed last month, with permission to file a new one.
Her attorney Judith L. Poller said in an email Thursday that “Jerry and Rupert Murdoch have finalized their divorce. They remain good friends and wish each other the best for the future.”
No details were released on the agreement the two have reached. Hall had sought an unspecified amount of spousal support in her original petition, and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She and Murdoch have no children together.

Hall, 65, filed in the Superior Court of California in L.A. County per court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Friday. She cited irreconcilable differences and is asking for spousal support.
She also does not want the court to be able to award support to her estranged husband. Hall is requesting Murdoch, 91, to pay her attorney’s fees.

But the death of this mother, six months ago, passes her 10% interest in the Murdoch family trust to him – potentially freeing up a few hundred million dollars. It is one way that Murdoch has had for resolving the stormy issues of his life.

A billionaire French-Israeli diamond magnate, Beny Steinmetz , in January appeared in court in Switzerland to face trial over alleged corruption linked to a major mining deal in Guinea. He has always denied his company, BSGR, paid multi-million dollar bribes to obtain iron ore mining exploration permits in southern Guinea in 2008.
At the time of the coup in Guinea, there was an ongoing fight over the country’s Simandou iron ore mines. The Guinean government of Alpha Conde in 2018 ordered the Rio Tinto Group – the world’s third-largest mining company and second-largest iron-ore producer – to hand over half of the Simandou deposit to a company controlled by Israeli diamond investor Beny Steinmetz.

GENEVA, Aug 12 (Reuters) – Israeli billionaire Beny Steinmetz and two others will be tried for suspected corruption for allegedly paying $10 million in bribes linked to allocation of mining licenses in Guinea to his BSGR Group between 2005 and 2010, Geneva prosecutors said.
In a saga that dates back to the 1990s when Rio Tinto, the Anglo-Australian miner, won the rights to develop Simandou during Mr Conté’s dictatorship, in 2008 the regime stripped Rio of half those rights, saying it had missed a deadline to start mining. It handed them to BSGR, which subsequently struck its $2.5bn deal with Vale, the world’s biggest producer of iron ore, the key ingredient in steelmaking.
Mr Conté’s successor, Alpha Condé, later launched an inquiry into how BSGR came to obtain the rights, which concluded in 2014 that they had been won through bribery and cancelled its claim on Simandou as well Zogota. Vale filed its arbitration against BSGR shortly after that decision.
BSGR was placed into administration in Guernsey to protect itself from the outcome of litigation, including the Vale arbitration.

One payment of at least $2 million was made to Touré through Matinda, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands that she owned, and which in turn had received that cash from a company called Pentler Holdings Ltd. Onyx was the company that helped incorporate Pentler .Onyx is a company that provides administrative and management services for BSGR. Onyx’s chief executive is also a director on the board of BSGR.
