Potty Time

I started potty training Lucy. She had been doing great. We are on day three and only one poopy diaper.
My goal for her to be potty trained is 18 months.

Fishing

Our halibut boat had already been cancelled twice because the ocean was to rough. So we thought we would try a third time. It started out good and happy. We were so excited we finally got to go.

 

then this happened...can you believe our luck?

This is the guy we hitch- hiked back to Anchorage with.

this is me trying to stay positive while Josh talked with the guy that was going to take us in the opposite direction we wanted to go.

and this is how our halibut trip ended, locked out of the house at 6 in the morning (we had been up since 3am).

Salmon Fishing

Well we were all geared up and ready to go...

 

We were so happy

 But of course the fish weren't in... just our luck!

But of course the fish don't need to be in for the more experienced fisherman.

Brett caught a big beautiful Red Salmon.

 

New Words For Lucy

Lucy has been saying a few new words lately.

• mine (I'm not really ok with the tone that goes along with this one)
• passy
• outside (sometimes its "go outside")
• na na (banana)
• night night
• gross  
• cookie
• oh gosh
• bite (she says this even if she wants a drink)
• Joshy
• Angie
• Ella
• Lucy 

And she been saying something like "I see you" but I'm not sure if thats what she is really saying. 

Iditarod- Dog Sleds

We went to meet the dog sledding team. Lucy was able to hold the puppies. And we were pulled by the bigger dogs on a sled with wheels. 

We also got to learn about Balto

My 6 year old niece went on a sling shot ride with her dad. She is so awesome and so brave!
