Crazy Cousins

We had a great visit from Zoe and Xavier this weekend! On Saturday morning, we fed the ducks and played at the playground at Brother's Pond, and on Sunday evening the kids and Nana and Papa came to our house for playtime and pizza. Somehow get-togethers at our house always end with a pizza order, and Cade thinks that pizza with his cousins is the greatest thing ever!

Love, True Love

Like the Princess Bride quote? :)

We've had a fun Valentine's Day. Our fun started this weekend with our dinner and movie date... here's proof that sometimes we really do wear nice clothes and go out!

Today, Cade's class had a brownie sundae Valentine's party at school. He has brave teachers! He loved getting a special treat in the middle of the day! Chance and I had a little treat for him at home too - M&Ms and chocolate dipped pretzels. He was so excited that he actually smiled for the camera!

Cade and Chance also gave me a heart-shaped box of chocolates, and Cade picked out which candies we should eat tonight. Decisions, decisions!

We hope everyone had a lovely day!

Hornet Basketball

We still live our lives in sports seasons! If you know Chance at all, you know that he is NOT a basketball coach, but he does have to keep the books at some of the home games. So, we joined him for the last Hornet basketball game of the season on Friday night.

Cade and Chance wishing Coach Giese good luck before the game

Different sport, same favorite snack. Cade loves his M&Ms!

The Locklear and Goodlett boys tried to climb through the railing to reach their Daddies!

This game was toooo long!

We're really enjoying Chance being home more on the weekends since he hasn't had a powerlifting meet in awhile. We had a fun, relaxing Valentine's weekend and really loved being outside in the sunshine. Chance and I got to have a great date to Cafe Eccell and "Just Go With It", one of the most hilarious movies ever! Thanks, Oma and Opa, for keeping Cade!

Ch-Ch-Chilly!

As I write this, the temps are back up to the mid-60s, but I promise, we did have a snow day on Friday! Chance and Cade's schools were closed, and I ventured to campus for a little while to get some work done in the peace and quiet. It was so fun to see our town blanketed in ice and snow! Even though we've gotten snow the past 3 years, I still get very excited!

Nothing deters Holly from wanting to play frisbee!

Image

Cade likes the idea of snow, but still doesn't like actually being in it. He was quite upset that his trampoline was covered in snow.

Notice something missing in the background of this picture? Our fence fell down! The fences on both sides of our yard between our neighbors blew down the other night.

So, what is a two year old boy to do when it is too cold to play outside? Beg and beg your parents for a drill like Daddy's, and "fix" everything in sight after they finally cave and buy you a tool set at Toys R Us! Gotta love the no shirt and safety goggles.
