White Hair Nana is NINETY!

The world was most certainly blessed 90 years ago on January 23 when Jane Willis entered the world! Nana was one of the first people in Chance's family who I had the pleasure of meeting, and I liked her from the minute we entered her little white house in Bremond. Her whole family was so happy to get together this month to celebrate her special day!

First, we also had another birthday to celebrate... our "little" niece Zoe turns 11 this month, and since she has such a busy social life, we don't usually see her during her birthday month anymore. We were so glad to spend an evening with this talented, creative, patient, and beautiful girl!

All 6 of White Hair Nana's great-grandchildren were together for her birthday party, and they had plenty of loud fun! They all got along really well, and were very happy when the adults finally let them play on their electronics when the party was winding down.

Happy Birthday, Nana!! And many more!

Sweet in '16

Happy Thanksgiving! Go Cougars! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

There is no way I could successfully catch up on all that I missed blogging about last year, so I'm just starting fresh in 2016. So far, the year has been pretty sweet!

Annie learned how to ride a tricycle

The kids have finally found a couple of things they can do without fighting: Connect 4 (for about as long as it took me to get this picture), hanging out in a tent (amazing how they fight like everything in the whole house, but in a confined space they are best friends!), and playing in silence on their tablets at the dentist's office

We have a new recycling system in College Station! No one is as excited about this as I am! It is exactly 4 days until our first pick up and the can is already completely full because we can recycle more things now.

We celebrated the Cougar Powerlifting team's first 1st place win of the season at their first meet! Dinner was held at Golden Corral afterwards and these kids definitely got their money's worth on the buffet (and so did the coaches!)

And we ventured outside on a cold but sunny afternoon for some backyard clean up. It was 40 degrees outside and the kids chose frozen blueberries as their snack. Annie is not actually crying here; she is yelling "blueberries"!

I am trying to be sweet, serene, and strong in '16, so hopefully that will translate into more timely blogging :)
