Patchstack Integration
MainWP Patchstack Add-on integrates with Patchstack’s security services to monitor your Child Sites for vulnerabilities and provide virtual patching protection, helping you maintain secure WordPress installations across your network.
Patchstack Integration for MainWP
Security visibility and protection status across all your WordPress sites, without living in another dashboard.
If you manage a portfolio of client sites, you do not need more security noise. You need a clear view of what is being blocked, what is vulnerable, and which sites are falling behind on updates. The Patchstack Integration for MainWP connects your Patchstack account to your MainWP Dashboard so you can turn on protection across Child Sites and keep the key security signals where your team already works.
Connect once, enable protection at scale
Add your Patchstack API key, then choose which Child Sites to protect. MainWP handles the busywork in the background by installing the Patchstack Security plugin and registering sites to your Patchstack account via API. From there, protection is active, and the integration pulls the security data into your MainWP Dashboard so you can track coverage and activity across the fleet.
A practical overview you can use during maintenance
The Overview page gives you an at-a-glance list of protected sites with the metrics you actually care about:
- Attack attempts (what is being blocked)
- Vulnerabilities (what needs attention)
- Pending updates (where risk tends to creep in)
- Last sync (so you know the data is current)
It is ideal for daily or weekly maintenance windows when you are triaging multiple client environments.
Threats Monitor, prioritize by impact, not guesswork
When you need detail, the Threats Monitor brings it together:
- A consolidated list of detected threats with protection status, fix availability, CVSS score, and date
- A trend view showing attacks blocked over time
- Quick totals for High, Medium, and Low priority threats
You also get the same views at the individual site level, so you can go from “what is happening across all sites?” to “what is happening on this one client site?” in a click.
Pro Reports-ready for client-facing reporting
If you use the Pro Reports add-on, Patchstack security data can be included in Client Reports. This is useful for showing clients what is being blocked and where remediation was needed, without turning reports into screenshots and explanations.
FAQ for Patchstack Integration for MainWP
Do I need a Patchstack account?
Yes. The integration connects to Patchstack using your API key and syncs protection and threat data back into MainWP.
What Patchstack plan do I need?
You will need a Patchstack Developer plan (or higher) to use the API key connection required by this integration.
What happens when I enable protection on a Child Site?
The Patchstack Security plugin is installed on the Child Site and the site is added to your Patchstack account via API. After that, Patchstack protection is active and MainWP displays the related security data.
Can I include Patchstack data in my client reports?
Yes. If you are using the MainWP Pro Reports add-on, the Patchstack Integration can include Patchstack security data in your Client Reports. This makes it easier to show clients what was detected and what was blocked, alongside your regular maintenance reporting.
