So here is an updated photo of me after losing 70 pounds. I will get a better shot once work is done and I am not so stressed. I am not weighing myself this week because I am sure I won’t lose a pound with everything I need to get done. Only 2 Spring Sing shows to go this week. Grades are due tomorrow for my 530 some students. Plus for Spring sing time to get the video camera ready, I have 2 slide shows down and one to go. Plus I need to get all my awards written out, and finally I need to tear down my rooms. Oh yeah and I forgot then pack one room because I will be moving inside for my last year of teaching at Lincoln School. Lincoln School is now 103 years old and next year will be the last year it is open. The new building will be here before we know it and I am not sure if I will get to go. No Lincoln teacher is promised. Lincoln is so old my parents started their teaching carier their I think some 40 years ago. Anyways I think I may have more on my list but I can’t think right now. Plus my husbands Grandma died so he is leaving me sniff sniff to go to her funeral. So after tomorrow it is me and the kids for the week. ughh…. My husbands family is from Jamaica so he will be gone until Saturday night. That means Monday morning is my only 5am workout and I will be dragging the kids the rest of the week probably late because I have so much work to be done. Ugh oh yeah I need to get the containers with the money donations from one school and haul them over to the other school I teach at. So my former students can help me out and see how much money we raised for The Royer Family Orphanage in Mexico. Then I need to get the special surprise made for my winning classes. Okay I am exhausted right now thinking about all the work that needs to get done;. That’s only work and not what needs to get done at my house. No proof reading this tonight either. That is for my mom who will say my writing is not up to par. Ahhh….. Oh well it is what is…. Peace out..

This weekend for Mothers Day
This week was great for Mothers Day! I asked my mom if I could skip the food on Saturday and come for the company. I did just that arrived an hour late and enjoyed the day with my family for the first time without pigging out!. My aunt took the potato chip bowl out of my site when I wanted to nibble. I love salty food more than sugar. Little baby Anthoney enjoyed a few chips but that is it. We as a family all ate before we went to the Mothers Day celebration.
Then Sunday hubby was going all weekend working so my daughter woke up and said can we go park hoping mommy. Seriously where does Miss 4 come up with these things. Then the last park her favorite the green/yellow park. Mommy I don’t want to go home can we stay all day. Jay we have stayed all day its 7pm its bed time and shower time when we get home plus I need to feed your brother. Well I feed Anthoney when we got home and guess who fell asleep on the couch Miss 4. LOL so she got a shower tonight instead. So all and all there was no feasting this mothers day just the joy of family!
Miss 4’s favorite thing to do is go to parks she will tell you and I am so happy that I can run around with her. We play hide and seek or Mommy dragon she created it when I run after her and roar. I think people at the parks think I am crazy running around with her because all I see is other parents really sitting on the bench watching there kids. I run with baby Anthoney stuck to my bell in my baby carrier on my tummy. He gets a good laugh to. Plus people look strange when I do squats with baby and use him as my weight. LOL but this maybe the only way I can get a workout in on Sundays with Kid Zone being closed at the Y on Sunday and who really wants to go to the Y everyday. LOL….
Next challenge mother’s day food buffet! ugh can’t we meet up without food or just healthy food!
Next challenge survive mother’s day food buffet. My kids don’t eat the food and neither should I. I have thought very hard about this so great Granny wants to see the kids she is not in the best health in her 80’s. So I will bring my kids as soon as they tell me all the food is put away and we will show up fashionable late. I can’t be around bad food and there could be great healthy food in the mix that is great! But I don’t at all want to be around it this year at all. My progress has been so great now and I want to hit goal at Christmas and maintain my lifestyle forever. Not yo-yo like I have done in the past! Plus family members at time can be great and then they can be negative and gossipy. I can’t stand negativity lately only positive is good for me.

More healthy treats that I am enjoying!
Thanks to the Healthy Lifestyle Team Challenge we got a chance to tour Hy-Vee with a nutritionist. Here are some of my new sweet favorites that I am eating. Yum!
Artic Zero yum! Love it. It is precisely the type of product that I keep an eye out for; low calorie and high quantity. Up until now having a frozen treat meant having a frozen sugar free fudge bar or a Weight Watchers product, or popsicles, or some other fat free product. Arctic Zero is wonderful if you are trying to limit your calorie intake and want to be able to indulge. The flavor, in my opinion, is sweet, but not powerfully so. I think that the texture is similar to fat free ice cream. Arctic Zero won’t satisfy you if you’re looking for a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. This is a great product that I can fit into my healthy lifestyle but afterwards I do not regret eating the whole pint. Yes, It is a high price treat so I savor the carton during the week.
Walden Farms Sugar Free, Fat Free, Calorie Free Carmel– is a great way to feel like you’re cheating without all the sugar & calories! I prefer to heat it in the microwave and then use it as a dip for apples. Every time I eat it, I am truly amazed that they can make something taste so good without all the calories, sugar & fat!!! There is sodium in this caramel, so if you need to watch your sodium intake, check the nutritional facts at the Walden Farms site to make sure it isn’t too high in sodium for you. The Carmel may taste a bit more like butterscotch than real caramel, but it’s still very good. Its sweet, has the consistency of pudding, and tastes delicious on fruit. Warm it up and put it on apples amazing!! 🙂 Both my husband and I love it! If you are dieting, or need to watch your sugar intake (but still crave sugary tasting foods), I would highly recommend Walden Farms Caramel!
A Tip for your favorite food!

If you have a favorite food that doesn’t do your weight any good, such as chocolate, instead of avoiding it completely, find a way to work into your health lifestyle. Once a month you may want to give yourself a chocolate day! This is where you can eat a small amount. Instead of being something that you feel mad that you can’t have it any more, it will become something to look forward to and work towards a goal. We cannot deprive ourselves and that is often what people’s downfall. Besides, it is really unrealistic to avoid your favorite food forever! Remember in the end you will no longer be on a diet and will want to maintain your weight. Remember why changing your lifestyle try to build a realistic eating plan for life.
Friday Blahs
So what have I been up to. Nothing much today I have a stomach bug and feel like crap. Tonight I tried to eat half of my 1200 calories. Now I am ready for bed. I was up every hour last night or more being sick. This is no way trust me to loss weight. I think it could of been the pasta dish that my hubby gave me last night. He gave me half of his Ruby Tuesday meal pasta chicken. But I think it made me sick not sure. I could of got a bug from a kid at work or coworker. Then my husband and I were having friends over tonight for a cookout but I called my friends and said don’t come. I was all set to make chicken kabobs with red onion and colored peppers. The food will be in the fridge for next time. Ugh his came I hung out for just a little bit and got the baby put to bed. Thanks mom for taking Miss 4! I am hoping I will be well enough to take her to the YMCA for her swim lesson. If not maybe hubby can take Miss 4.

My motivation was get losing weight now or be on medication. I choose to wake up to exercise because I feel better! What is your motivation?
I got a little frighted when I weighed in at the Live Healthy Team Challenge on Monday at 200.4. Then when to the doctors on Thursday were I weighed in around 206 pounds. Think how in the world did I gain weight. Went home to check to see if the scale was right and I weighed in at home at 205. Oh man… I was thinking what is up with that! Then thinking about it and having a friend say it maybe the muscles tightening after a hard workout. Well I thought that may be true on Wednesdays I do Spin at 5.15am and boot camp at 5:30pm. Well I could hardly move after boot camp Wednesday night. I felt like I had put back on all the 65 pounds I had lost. I felt way pregnant again feet hurting and everything. To tell you the truth I ran about 3 miles during boot camp and I haven’t ran like that forever. So maybe my muscles need a break and plus I kept drinking tons of water so my muscles do not cramp. My legs will cramp and hurt like heck at night so I drink plenty of water. The last time I say 100’s was in 2010 when I lost 30 pounds in the same team challenge ( it used to be called weight no more) in the spring. Then in October of 2010 I found out I was expecting my son and boom bang back in the 200’s in 2011. I can’t wait to be far away from the 200’s now. Only 24 pounds more to go until I hit the weight I was at before being pregnant. I never got to finish last time so only 59 more pounds to go. One good thing to come from losing over 60 some odd pounds is I no longer have high blood pressure. I won’t be going on blood pressure medications anytime soon. The doctor said next month is his last month he needs me to check in with him. He actualy gave me maintenance pamphlets and I was like what are you serious. I am only half way to my goal and he said you can do it on your own now. The number one reason is because I am healthy and have no more health issues caused by weight. At the end of May then instead of being accountable to my doctor the blog hopefully will be my outlet of accountability.
