#31 Halloween retrospective

I am learning something I suspect many have learned before – don’t let the idea (or plan) get so big that you end up writing NOTHING!

Second Life Halloween – the things that stand out this year are the over the top dramatic and lovely offerings from so many designers. For me ‘the look of the season’ was fabulous group gift horns from Vintage jewels worn with glorious orange eyes from [ MUDSKIN ] and PICHI Apricot lipstick – I was able to wear them with nearly everything for 2 weeks! My grand plan was to put all of the outfits in … so here are 3.

I had a bit of fun trying all the pose props set out in the spooky woods at Image Essentials. If you have never been there Image essentials has photo studios, shops and areas set up seasonally (or whenever Kay and her team feel like changing) … all free to use for group members!

Did you ever buy a mesh dress hoping for miracles?

#3 Swimwear – checking the fit

Remember the process?

– take your swimsuit to the dressing room and try to make the privacy curtain cover the whole doorway

– slide out of your clothes – trying to avoid seeing your glorious self in the mirror

– wriggle your way into the swimsuit- hoping the lengthways stretch is good….

– get into position and peer at your backside – check that fit!

– check that the nail polish really does match (- although in SL that only takes a moment to change) – and did I say that I adore the textures of the lace and the leather

– and the final test is the SHAKE, RATTLE and ROLL test – to see what falls out when I move…. thank heavens for SL glue

It even makes my winter white skin look better – I think I will keep this one.

#2 Time to swim?

Time to haul out the swimsuits from last year and see if any still fit – and how they look against lily white winter legs…

Of course being Second Life I keep my swimsuits in a beautiful wee mermaid house – where do you keep yours?

This sweet one piece from r2 has the features we are looking for this year – low cut at the front – high cut legs – a little bit frilly (lace no less!) and handy brass buttons for…hmm?

I love the look with my new EMO-tions Cameron hair, and my sandals, earrings and watch (picked up at TDRF) will be easy enough to slip off into my bag if I do decide to leap into the pool later.
