Another roller coaster week with school

Monday –No school, President’s Day

Tuesday–Slippery drive to school, saw seven cars in the ditch.  Drove back home that night, and roads were clear from a warmer day.

Wednesday–Neurological appointment.  Things are looking good with MS, and I dropped 10 pounds since September!  I took off a half-day, but did not finish appointment until it was too late to get back to school in time, so I took off the rest of the day.

Thursday–Rainy morning, intruder drill at school.  Dizzy and light-headed from uncontrollable heater in my room and sudden winter warm-up.  Laid down at school to rest and after two hours, felt okay to drive.  Foggy afternoon, visibility limited, stayed at my parent’s house that night.

Friday–Fire alarm went off at school before I arrived.  Stayed in my car until all was clear.  Sunny drive home.

Great

day-after

Valentine’s Day

day date

My husband sang all yesterday with his Barbershop Quartet, Menagerie, delivering Singing Valentines to people in the area.  He didn’t get home until about 9 o’clock last night.  So we celebrated Valentine’s day today.  We started with breakfast at a fundraiser Pancake Breakfast.  We next went to our son’s show choir event, where our son had a solo.  We sat with my college room-mate and husband, who were there with their daughter.  Afterwards, we went back into town and saw the movie “The Monument Men,” which we really enjoyed.  After visiting three other restaurants, we found a place that we could get in without a wait, and had delicious barbecue brisket and Prime Rib.  When we came out of the restaurant, some glittery snow was falling.   A wonderful day!

Nose bleeds can be very ScArY!

IMAG1937

At about 6:55 last Sunday morning, my husband’s nose started to bleed.  About fifteen minutes later, when it started dripping like a faucet, we called 911.  In the emergency room, his nose was packed with a gauze-wrapped balloon type of material and he was sent home.  Two days later, at the ENT’s office, they switched the balloon with some “styrofoam” material that would dissolve in two days.  He is okay now, but it was a scary week!
