Stormsong did traditional grindy Wildwood deeds. Boring, must calculate them, but I finished.

Xantipe’s life was more interesting. Some landscape runs. Intentionally running into auto-bestowed quests. Selling loot for coin. And then – Kinship run. Of course, Stairs again and my Hunter – she had not done anything in War of Three Peakc region. No discovery, no quests…thus no Stairs.

Kinnie volunteered. Teleported me, guided me, waited untill I discovered. Then we went back to Dwarf fortress…and stairs run began. For me, it was a nightmare. I did not do any serious damage to monsters. I could not heal (Hunters can’t), crowd control…All I could do is do my weak attacks that helped nobody.

Was killed, every time bu pure accident. Instead of leaving me – kinnies wasted precious time to revive. First, really troublesome, run was over. I felt like tourist, useless one – and left. Unfortunately, was asked to join again. This time it was Tier 1, but still same tourism. No loot for me, only useless jewellery with parry, evade… things. Runes were filtered out, “traceries” were autodeleted.

One nice kinnie gave me some equipment and I felt guilty accepting it. I did not deserve any loot from there. I was of no use. Such players like me should be left outside of runs: get back, when you get normal equipment. Mine is – gosh, some old rags with weird statuses.I replaced some with items I had no right to take. Yet mood was still grumpy.

What I am waiting for is Gundabad. Not because of content, I do not care about it. It’s all about levels. Grind fast to lvl.140 and only then finish some exploration and epic quests.

I have to be clear: Gundabad is of zero importance to me. Most content is underground, maybe one region is normal. I am not interested in epic or landscape: got enough “Ghyrurwuhu barkhadgushu wrufrothru 0/3” type quests. “Traceries”? Do not care much, next content will make Gundabad ones – trash. Lore? Do not care much. Rewards? Do not care much too, gone are days when quests gave valuable Anfalas scrolls and crystals.Lotro points? I count Gundabad as Wildwood: maybe some 100 Lotro points worth. Most wise decision: wait untill giveaway.

And so my half-grumpy day was over.

We had an Update. One that gave Brawler more dps, then nerfed Warg Pens…and finally gave a chance to disenchant existing starlit crystals.

Small star-lit crystal offered three lvl.50 runes. It comes from lvl.40s-50s instances.
Anfalas star-lit crystal offered two lvl.86 runes. It comes for > lvl.100 content.

SSG has long ago declared crusade against logic. Now, it has declared a holy war against mathematic. 86 equals 100, say they. Of course, nobody is happy. But do SSG care? No. They don’t care about game, they don’t play game, so most of their decisions are bad. Because of total ignorance. Of course, they would make all other former LI stuff be bartered like that – and it would mean I would just sell it. Because no way I need lame low lvl runes.

My dear SSG, you will lose your holy wars against logic and mathematics. And with wars lost, you will lose customers. With customers lost, game’s mere existence is at stake.

Meanwhile Stormsong ran Wildwood dailies, while chatting about update. Xantipe ran too, doing quests, advancing deeds.

Kinship organized Stairs run. Unfortunately, my Xantipe did not discover it – so had to log Stormsong. Pity, my Hunter is pretty nice and she needs equipment. Unlike Stormsong, who participated in Stairs and today would trash all trash-loot: runes, LI xp rune, equipment. I do not need any of them, sorry.

I am sad that such good game has so ignorant developers. Ones who always ruin players’ life, always making obstacles, always nerfing everything they could. I am sad, because I personally adviced players to keep old LI stuff, because they would be able to barter it.

Delete all the “legendary” stuff, because all you will get would be few low level “runes”. Or – wiser decision – sell all “legendary” items. SSG won’t be fair. Their promises are pure cheating and propaganda.

The day was over, bit grumpy in Lotro.

My Hunter, Xantipe, started Wildwood runs. Things are a bit complicated, since I took too many quests and must count. Other than that – things are going well. I know places. I know to shoot every monster, except birds.Or even to extend my landscape quests so that I do more dailies.

Hunter is superb. More effective than Minstrel and is able to track enemies. Quite handy when you hunt some elusive named ones.

And Stormsong continued her propaganda about Lhaereth the Beautifull, rightfull Queen of Middle Earth, Heir of Sauron, Shield-maiden of Mordor, First Healer, Protector of Peace…We got into really cool talks about Mordor.

So right now, my days are divided: 2xruns on Stormsong untill she reaches Kindred with both factions…and landscape on Xantipe.

Helping other players: no success. Almost nobody needs help and I do not run Sari Surma/Stairs anymore.

Stormsong still quests in Wildwood. Same boring routine: pick all killing quests, pick all 4 bounties, finish first reputation daily, take second, finish second, run reputation quests for one faction in Trestlebridge.

This time I ran Trade wharf faction quests, reached another tier of reputation – and got new quest. One of these bestowed when you get another tier of reputation. Go to mines, occupied by monsters, destroy some stuff. Oh no, go deeper, kill and repair – but do not hurry, you need to locate some weid location. I clear ruble – see some portal and that’s it. Some tomb, nobody around, yet my faction leader already knows it was other two NPCs. She suspects them, yet still has no evidence to kick these two from faction.

Yeah, another “interesting” quest. But by far, I am grateful I have Wildwood. It is safe, it is easy grind and since it’s free – it is free Lotro points.

After Wildwood is finished, I would have nothing to do. Gundabad is not an option. Not buying it for cash (why should I?) and if it is released for points – for me it would be obsolete by then. Why waste points on lame things? Some kinnies are very enthusiastic. I am more realistic.

So, by now I jus count how many days/weeks are left untill I finish Wildwood factions. If it happens after Gundabad – well, will get tiny xp. But I was happy to aid kinnie and some people from /World. We even finished one Moria raid with only two >lvl.100 characters.

SSG formally announced Gundabad is being tested. Only now, when they should have tested it few hundred times on all systems and every aspect. Promised are some “tweaks” in mounted combat (obsolete past Wildermore/Rohan), bit more character creation options (not relevant). Also, in some future we may receive River Hobbits (yeah…more of us, Precious, gollum-gollum…), hobbies. If only SSG could realise changes are needed elsewhere! Like – removing all caps on all currencies, making LI conversion very clear so that even 10-years old would understand, making LI stuff easily barterable…

Legendary items’ new system is still a headache for me. Over-complicated one that could take years to finish. Run Forochel instance for a chance to get one golden essence once per T2 run. Since it’s RNG, you will receive wrong one. If you are extremely lucky, it would take one month. Say, there are 11 traceries you need and you get needed one each third run. One month of runs. Then, you can’t apply runes – first apply type A, then type B, then type C and finally -type D. All for running extremely hard content or for Ancient scripts that are at very low cap.

Days are running slow. Almost nothing to do, just Wildwood and rants about bright land of Mordor.

Very little things done: two rounds of Wildwood quests and that’s all. Sold one trash for some 475 gold and wondered why folks keep buying trash. Joked about “cheap glod…instant delivery” and it really looks like cheating. Get absolute unneeded trash, sell for 100 times more –> Profit.

No more am I participating in runs: they offer nothing I need. “Traceries” are trash, worth 23 silver. Equipment typically is really inferior, so – trash too. New runes does not bother me: do not need them on old, good, powerfull LIs. Embers/motes of enchantment – have almos capped, nothing to buy for them.

Even /World was not active enough. Lotro is just Wildwood grind for the sake of Wildwood grind. After it ends, there would be almost nothing more to do.

Stormsong is the only active and activity means Wildwood dailies. Take some, keep in mind auto-bestowed, calculate best route, Take first faction, grind 10 quests, trash loot; take second faction, grind 10 quests, trash loot.

Then it is /World where Stormsong tells truth and only truth about bright and free land of Mordor with its blooming garden and, of course, prosperity and freedom. Occasionally someone needs help.

Yesterday my routine was interrupted. Kinnies ran some instances, posted “golden traceries”. Ok, I thought, I do have >30 various unique/non-unique traceries, just let me check.

Oops, all my “traceries” were lvl.400. All golden were lvl.440. Which means, I was collecting trash – and yeah, trash from top-level Tier 2 challenge featured instance. My treasure became trash in one second. It is obvious, such “tracery” equals lvl.140 or lvl.50 tracery. No use, even cannot deconstruct due to cap. I sold some, earning perhabs 300 silver. Trashed others.

It is a cheat from the game. Because only one instance drops random (!) “traceries”, so your Minstrel may be receiving only +Might ones. Or your Champion may be getting +Piercing cry damage. Because kinnie farmed one particular instance for 13 hours. Because this insane grind gave him only 10 traceries (and not all of them would be usable). Because no matter what instance, what level, challenge or not you will be doing – only one, designed by developers, would be dropping golden ones at miserably low rate.

Which leaves me without any future. I do not have some 1,5 years to farm for “traceries”. I do not have required 38.000 $ to get all good traceries for one Legendary weapon. And I do not know what other cheats have developers prepared.

The future is complete darkness, only light being stupid Wildwood grind. After that – nothing.Maybe crafting Wastes reputation items. After Gundabad is released – power levelling in Warg pens.

End of grumpy post. Curse you, evil developers, do retire and go clean toilets in McDonalds.

Stormsong was the only active. Hultvis dailies that reset on fourth and seventh day of week (hence the post title…). Yesterday finished one half, today will grind second, receive 9 scrolls. Will log Hunter, finish one part, tomorrow – another, will receive 9 scrolls.

Everyone is preparing Third age LIs, maxing them. It is most likely (99% probability) SSG would act as SSG does and almost equal third age trash to maxed First ager. We are promised to “compensate” rare crafting ingredients, most likely – First age symbols. Would it be autoconversion? Or some barter? Nobody knows. SSG communication, as always, is almost at the bottom.

My future looks bit grumpy. Legendary items would be nerfed and grind would be much, much worse. Current LIs, no doubt, would be superior to new ones. One day, no doubt, we would be forced to lose our LIs and get worse new ones. Gundabad content – I would not be able to run it, unless SSG gives it away for free (100 Lotro points, I guess, is realistic price: 50 for reputation, 50 for deeds). Kinship would be running, I will always stand aside. “Sorry, do not have this qp”.

And so the day has ended. 13th marks a grumpy period for me. Bright side: end of dailies in Hultvis. Dark side: end of quality LIs, cannot participate in content and am too weak for Tier5 challenge instances.

Stormsong was the only active. Still doing these worthless missions in Wildwood. Grinding reputation, geting tokens this way.

Managed to help one kinnie with Great Barrow instances. All three in a row. I was efficient, kinnie finished Great Barrow and things were done.

Next week we have Gundabad and now we have what they call “trailer” for Brawler class. Primitive video that folks already call “Dragon ball-Z”. Some little grumpy guy making few punches, then effects like guy uses beam weapons, then guy uses ray shield and stands ahead of allies. Any kid would make better.

And I feel grumpy about Gundabad. Most of people (never expected Lotro players to be that rich, like 10.000 $ a month!) will have it. I will not, most likely – I will never will. Not purchasing for money – sorry, dear devs, you lack any communication, I am not happy with LI nerf you prepared, I am not happy with tens of times bigger grind for LI. And by the time they allow Gundabad for points, it would be essentially irrelevant. So, I would be (thanks to developers) left light years behind, my only option – to invest hundreds of euros into cash shop.
Sorry, not gonna happen. And to think developers had a chance to make Gundabad purchasable by anyone and really worth of it!

Kinship probably won’t be happy, since I would be missing all new content. This I do care about. All “content” of Gundabad – no, I don’t care. Blah blah, let’s retake, blah blah, let’s go underworld, blah-blah let’s talk…It’s all about “yes-yes-next-finish” approach. The only thing that interests me: reach lvl.140 as soon as possible, warg pens or “Blood of Azog” missions – doesn’t matter. Level 140 –> safe travel in Minas Morgul lands –>deeds finished –> LP received.

Everything other in new Lotro content just does not matter.

No, end of the world is not there, Lotro isn’t sailing West. It’s just Legendary items: at October 13th, players won’t be able to reforge any LI. Lucky for me, almost all my toons gathered third age legendary weapons, upgraded to lvl.60 and now just wait.

Stormsong just quested in Wildwood. Finished almost all slayer deeds, especially when dailies demand lots of killing. Even managed to do 10 dailies for each faction. Result – trash items that I trash and barter currency I will not use.

Why do I do this? Just for Lotro points and reputation. Wildwood is such boredom wtihout civilization (no vaults, horse roots, crafting facilities). Quests are pure boredom, rewards are trash.

I will finish Wildwood deeds, will grind reputation and then forget this region for good.

Meanwhile must get few third age LIs for my Minstrel. My days in Lotro are now … just grey.
