Fog on a Mountain Slope

This image was taken from the roadside in the Canadian Rockies. The second I saw this landscape I knew it would fit right in with my antique postcard series.

This was shot on Ektachrome G100e slide film. It was scanned into Lightroom where it was rendered to monochrome via a Lightroom preset. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was cropped

Nude Dancing With Her Shadow

The concept for this image was to let the model play with her shadow with no directions from me.

I thought an antique treatment with a modern setting would set up an interesting juxtaposition.

One light was used, it was placed to the left of the frame. The light was placed so the model would cast a very strong shadow while illuminating her trunk.

This just seemed to be an interesting composition.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and above the model. The light was place this way to create highlights and allow the rest of the model’s body to disappear into darkness.

Two lights was used, one was placed to the right of the frame and the second light was placed to the left of the frame. This was done to illuminate the model’s sides while limiting the amount of light falling on the model’s back.
