i am from the southern part of Iloilo. our town is around 30-45 minutes drive from the city and was one of the landing sites for American Forces led by General Douglas MacArthur in March 1945 for liberation of the Philippines from the Japanese in World War II. it is also the site of the first Jesuit school for boys in the Philippines as well as SEAFDEC, the premier fisheries research organization in South East Asia.
