Jos is a DreamHost consultant, assisting with specific WordPress cases, actively contributing to the WordPress community by organizing local meetups in Guadalajara, and promoting the testing and use of the WordPress Site Editor.

He builds websites exclusively with WordPress. He has been working in web design for over fifteen years, covering front-end and back-end development and extensive configuration. He studied Computer Systems Engineering in Mexico, where he acquired fundamental problem-solving skills.

WordPress Origin Story

One day, I visited the website of a non-tech student from my university. It was effortless for him to use and update, and I got mad; maybe I was just jealous because I built my blog using HTML tables manually and had to copy and paste each time I entered a new post.

I saw his site was powered by WordPress, and I understood there was a big opportunity to build and create awesome things together as a community.

From there, I started writing blog posts, and suddenly, this software could add pages, not just posts. With a partner, I started building websites, and then I became so addicted to WordPress that I decided to make a living from it.
