It’s off to shop I go…
Ok, I don’t owe. That’s one good thing abouut our finances is that we have virtually no debt. With the exception of one loan of mine, all our debt is current and monthly. Rent, utilities, etc. We have revolving credit cards, but use them sparingly and pay them off within a month or two at the most.
I’m way behind on shopping, though am done with a few people. We don’t go nuts on Christmas and I am grateful for that!
Mark and I sat down and went over our expenses recently and decided we needed to make a few changes. Minor stuff – going out less, mostly. I took my acrylic nails off too. That was something I did when I was driving the limo, but it’s really unnecessary now. I will miss my nail guy tho, I really got along good with him and I liked him a lot. But that’s a good $35-40 a month that we don’t need to spend.
I had to stay home from work at the twins today because Emma is sick and my nose is a tad stuffy. They don’t want me (or any of the nurses) to come over at all when there is an illness about us – even if it’s our kids and not us. Emma is home from school today even, she was up late late late coughing and sniffling, even after meddies. I wish she would get some rest and try to get over it but Mark is home today too so she is busy running around and playing. Grr. Pft to being not-the-mom.
Mark stayed home because of the weather…we had a huge snowfall and the roads were treacherous yesterday and this morning. He drives nearly an hour to work, so he just called in. It would have taken him at least twice as long to get to work, and it’s just not worth the hassle.
I’m going to take a shower and traipse out through the drifts to try to find my car and get some errands done.
Hope all is well where you are.
