The Gacha Garden is still going strong if you haven’t had a chance to check it out.. full of all sorts of fun and whimsical items. The event runs until August 22nd so get on over to play. Then stop by and I’ll fix you up some tea and cake for a post-shopping treat! Nom nom nom! 😀
Candy Fair has just started and I wanted to give you a looksee at what’s out from oOo Studio this year… three deliciously sweet new poses for couples and a pretty pinup set of singles for the ladies! Candy Fair opens today, July 3rd and runs thru July 17th! Treat yo’ self!
I think there’s definitely different camps when it comes to the notorious V-Day. Whether we like it or not, Valentine’s Day comes every year taunting us with it’s candy hearts and mushy cards, it’s overpriced flowers and cutesy teddy bears, and then there’s the chocolate… Not that I have anything against chocolate. 😛 And I have heard the arguments: “Why only celebrate love one day a year?? Pffft!” “Valentine’s Day was created by Hallmark to sell more stuff.” “Valentine’s Day should be called Extortion Day.” And perhaps it’s true that one shouldn’t simply save up all the romance for a single day. And what if you have no one to romance with? There are plenty of reasons to not be obliged to celebrate this particular holiday…
Yet, I can’t help but be drawn into the romantic feel of this time of year. Post-Christmas let-down and winter doldrums leave you feeling deflated.. so having a little love in the air definitely can breathe new life into you. And that doesn’t mean you have to have ‘the one’ in your life… no need to feel pressure to run out and get a significant other just for February 14th. Sharing the love works on many levels, and is a pretty awesome upper. It makes people happy and feel good. And I don’t know about you, but making people happy makes me happy. So share it with family. Share it with friends. Share it with your favorite furry animals. Maybe this February you’ll still be single, so what. Forget the date. Love blooms in all seasons. But I guarantee you that happiness in your heart will draw others in like moths to a flame.
Be happy and Be Loved! ❤
This round of The Liaison Collaborative themed around “Classic Romance” inspired me to put together a scene straight out of a chick flick. And I’ll admit that although I wasn’t too excited at first about going all romantical, a little help from a friend brought me out of my funk and feeling ready to begin again.
He’s a good sport letting me clean him up from his typical bad boy look and making him stand for hours pretending to woo me (Thanks, Cyp!). 😛
I hope you enjoy this little brunch date at the cafe story in pictures… and remember to check out TLC for these and more romantically inspired goodies!
