Hi guys! I’m a little behind on getting this up and posted but there are some sweet new poses available from oOo Studio at Candy Fair right now. Candy Fair runs until October 17th, so you have plenty of time to get on over there and get the goodies!

The first is a new collection of couples poses called “Honey” – four different poses in varying sits, stands and lounging perfect for capturing a pic with that person you are sweet on. Honey-01_FINAL

There is also a set of 7 singles poses in classic pin-up style called “Tootsie”.

{ What makes a happy home }

I’ve been making a new home in SL the last couple weeks… in between trying to get work done on other things. Before this I would log in on a platform in the sky somewhere surrounded by pose stands and random objects. I bet many of you know this scenario well. Those that do photography or blog, or even build… logging into a platform is pretty common. I would set a scene on this corner or that, take a photo, tear it down… it was always just temporary. It’s been almost a year since I’ve had anything that resembled a real home in SL that actually stuck around, a place where I could invite people and say “this is my place” and not be embarrassed by the barren wasteland that I paid tier on every month. So it was time to lay down roots and move in. The fall always inspires me to decorate, in both RL and SL… as even my RL home is full of the warmth of fall colors. I love the earthy browns and natural textures and fabrics, distressed pieces, and knotty wood floors.. and lots of windows dappled with sunlight.

On a cool crisp day with the leaves rustling just outside, there is still a cozy home full of warmth, where lazy puppies snooze and curious kitties play. Oh! And there is always a steamy cup of coffee waiting for me…

…In my dreamy autumn home. My happy happy home.

{ As the last leaves fall }

It still amazes me every year how fast October and November fly by, they are some of my busiest months of the year…. I love the fall season so much and it’s a bit disheartening to blink and see that it’s already gone. People are already talking about Christmas, and decorating, and I’m already hyperventilating at the thought of the dozens of cookies that will be baked this December. For those of you that know me on Plurk, you shall be tantalized with my decadent treats (i.e. prepare for the food porn), so don’t you worry. But before I am forced into getting merry and bright, I’m going to take one last look around at this beautiful autumn season and enjoy it. Thankfully in Virginia, where I’m from, the cooler temps have only just begun to set in and I can get away without a jacket most days.

The outfit I’m showing off for you today is really a reflection of something I would wear in real life; the patterns, colors and textures are comfortable and still very stylish, classy and feminine. The knit belted vest and coordinating wool mini are from Gizza new for the fall/winter season and come in a variety of other tartan patterns and colors. And when I came across these gorgeous high boots from Intrepid for the Shoetopia Fair, they were perfect to complete the sophisticated look I was going for. I kind of love the high boot look especially when combined with a shorter skirt or dress. Now, off to do more shopping..

I’m gonna hold back writing a novel of a blogpost this time around in order to get these pics out before FLF is officially over. I have lots more ideas to get out and never enough time to bring them to life in picture-format let alone blog them! { Espresso My Love }

The word Fall or Autumn usually conjures up all sorts of wonderful imagery of warm inviting colors and falling leaves blowing across a winding road in a cozy wooded valley; the smell of burning wood as fires are stoked and chimneys start smoking; wooley sweaters, comfy jeans, and boots to combat the new briskness in the air; the little chill on our noses that can be easily remedied by bring a nice warm cuppa something up to our lips. Granted, my love of coffee goes beyond just one season, but this time of year is certainly special… in a word, PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE. Ok so that’s three words. Three very important words that always make me smile and my belly warm. Anyone that knows me well, has probably figured out that I’m quite the pumpkin lover. I tend to salivate over anything with pumpkin in it… breads, cookies, muffins, pies, pasta, soups, ice cream even. And of course… COFFEEEEE! So when {What Next} introduced this new Cocoa-on-the-Go Cart that actually dispensed my favorite autumnal drink?!?!.. you can imagine the squeeing that went on behind my closed office door. I was one happy girl.

I must also mention that in addition to great coffee, I am also excited to be slipping into my jeans and sweaters finally, and ColdLogic has just released some wonderful fall basics to mix-n-match. I paired my skinny jeans with the adorable new booties from Fri.day with the optional sock tops. Finally ones that I can wear with my mesh jeans! This is only the first of a few outfits I will show off to you.

Many thanks to Ms. Harlow Heslop‘s beautiful landscaping of “The Grounds” where I took this pic, home to the Pixel Bean Coffeehouse. If you’ve never been, go check it out, as it’s truly one of my favorite places for hanging out, relaxing, and meeting new people. There are periodic music events going on and always tons of fun. It very much reminds me of the type of coffeehouses I used to frequent back in my college days and listen to some live bands such as the one I posted below.
