St. Paddy’s Day Hats with some Cutting Instructions

I finished a few gifts with my leprechan hat pattern I created.  This could also be a pilgrim hat for Thanksgiving and could probably alter it into a witch hat too for Halloween.

Large pillow 16” square pillow and cover

 The smaller pillow is 10 x 17”

This is the lumbar pillow that I first made a cover for with three cats on it and last Christmas made one with Christmas trees.

Made with the tiny hat size

Made with the 8" hat size

Four Sizes
Image
Large 14" x 14 1/2; Medium 10 3/4"; Small 7 1/2 x 8"; Tiny 5 5/8 x 6".  I like the square dimension better.

Image
On the tiny one, I just used a 1 5/8" gold square, but below I put instrustions to make it like the others since that is cuter.

Image
Here you can see how to sew the pieces together.  I sewed the belt part first, then belt part to the top.  Then that section to the background sides and then sew on the brim to the bottom.

Be aware on the cutting instructions that they haven't been tested so do your own pattern test.  (Let me know if you find errors, if possible)

Image
Keep in mind that depending on the project, you may want to also add top and bottom borders.  In case you want to make your blocks square here are cutting instructions for that, except not tested yet.

On this one I changed the measurements so the hat block would come out square.

The 6" size may definately have an error?

Winter Stars

I used winter-y fabrics to make this pattern from She Can Sew.   It's called Super Star and this is the link

Christmas Sewing

These scrappy runners turned out cute to give the neighbors for Christmas

I made some last minute small runners to give as Christmas gifts to neighbors, for Christmas Eve last year.

This is a Pillow Cover to fit the pillow I made with an Acorn Pillow Cover, that I gave to Karen a few years ago.

I made this long ago and may duplicate  to some extent with scraps below.

Scraps I've had around forever.  May finally become a topper similar to one I made long ago, some day.

This was from the fun mystery quilt along from the Fat Quarter Shop last year

Oops, sewn wrong, but picked out and corrected later!

Fall Fun Quilts and Things in Progress

I have all these drafts of posts for things I was working on last year.  I'm going to just go ahead and publish them as they are.  I'll do better posts when I complete the projects.  Hopefully.
