Horseback Riding OR Crafts?!?

Ryan had the great opportunity of going with a few of his co-workers to St. George over the weekend. They left Thursday morning. When they got down there they settled in and went for a ride ont he horses. I don't know how things like this always happen to Ryan but he got bucked off...on the FIRST day! He landed on his back pretty hard and bruised some ribs. Poor guy. The rest of the trip he and a friend stayed off the horses and went up the mountains to shoot clay pigeons and what not.

I decided while he was gone with the guys I would go up to Kaysville and spend the weeknd with my mom and sisters. I went to a matinee with Tricia on Saturaday afternoon too see Confessions of a Shopaholic. I also went with my sister to the dollar theater on Saturday night to see Twilight for the 3rd time. I am addicted to the movie and have already pre-ordered it on Amazon.com. The rest of the time we spent making cards on my Cricut that I got for Christmas. We had to much fun and are planning on making more this weekend. It's my new addiction along with sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. The cards are for sell for $1.50 each and requests are welcome! Haha!

Image ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageAll in all it was a very fun weekend and I was glad to share time and make memories with my sisters and mom (ok..and nieces and my little newborn nephew). Thanks to Sara for the movie and the Pomegranate Italian Chiller. Thanks to Shannidoodle for being a baby hog (jk) and your creative card ideas. And as always, thanks to my amazing angel of a mother for a place to stay and morning breakfasts of grapefruit and boiled eggs.

Lasik Anyone?

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year AND Happy Birthday to Ryan! On January 2nd we went for a little trip to Lasik Plus to have Ryan's eyes done. The first picture of him being scared (ok...pretending to be scared for the camera) when we were pulling out of our driveway. The 3rd picture is just before surgery, 4th picture is just after surgery and the 5th one is Lasik Plus sending him home. While he was on the table getting they surgery done I watched through the glass window. It was pretty crazy and GROSS to watch but fascinating at the same time. They gave him a stuffed monkey to squeeze while they did the procedure and afterwards he said how glad he was that they let him hold it. It just makes me laugh because apparently lots of people need to squeeze the poor little stuffed monkey. He had to wear those eye covers all day long and then every night to sleep in for the first week or so. We had a follow up appointment yesterday and they said that one eye is 20/15 and the other eye is 20/10. I would say he can see pretty well. Now we have a year to pay it off and then hopefully I can have mine done. Glasses and/or contacts since 6th grade is just not ideal any longer! Any of you that have the chance to have Lasik I say DO IT! Ryan had a really good experience and is happy to not have to wear glasses for swimming, taking pictures, hunting, etc. I seriously am jealous and can't wait for MY TURN!Image ImageImageImageImage

New Year's 2009

New Year's was a blast. All the kids thought it would be fun to go around the room and blow dry, cut and comb everyone's hair. Everyone was being good sports...especially Grandma! We ate lots of food, played games and made homemade ice cream. Najib was a party pooper and fell asleep at like 930 or 10. I don't know how he slept through all the chaos. Five minutes after the ball dropped on t.v. we were all heading home to bed. That is what happens when everyone starts to get old! :)Image ImageImageImageImage

Holiday Catch Up

The holidays were amazing. I can't even believe they are over and that time flies so fast. We specnt Christmas morning at the in-laws. They seriously make you feel like a kid all over again. We helped them carry out all the presents on Christmas Eve. The whole downstairs room was FULL of presents. We had all of Ryan's sibling there along with the two girls and little Asher. Grandma and Uncle Ron were also there. So, with 12 adults and 3 kids you can imagine all the presents...oh wait...you don't have to becuase I have pictures!! We gave Asher the basketball hoop for Christmas and he loved it! It is still at Grandma's and every time he comes over he wants Grandpa to go downstairs and play with him. It is so cute! It was a nice, relaxing day and many great memories were made.
