I made my first Treasury yesterday and found it fun and enlightening. Looking through Etsy with an eye toward attractive photos allowed me to see what I did and didn’t like about product photography. The way I went about selecting my items (by following the tag links) helped me understand the tagging process better.

Below is the Treasury that I created. It’s my first, but definitely not my last.

First I chose a word, unravel, it was just a word that came to me. Then I pursued finding my next item through clicking tags looking for something to catch my eye, fitting in visually with what had come before. It was really fun, like a giant free-association exercise. It also helped me understand the importance of tags and their relation to searching the treasure trove that is Etsy.See if you can guess what took me from each piece to the next – I have left them in the order I found them.
