Subtitled: A Work For Strathcona What an Idiot! What an idiot you are! What an utterly useless idiot you are! You so smart. You make me proud you so smart. I so proud you so smart.
Vancouver’s Strathcona was Ken Lum’s neighborhood as a kid. This is off the south west corner of Cottonwood gardens, next to the fab spankin’ new astro-turf soccerfields next to the train station.
“I hate a song that makes you think that you are not any good. I hate a song that makes you think that you are born to lose. Bound to lose. No good to nobody. No good for nothing. Because you are too old too fat or too slim. Too ugly or too this or too that. Songs that run you down or poke fun of you on account of your bad luck or hard traveling. I am out to fight those songs to my very last breath of air and my last drop of blood.” Woody Guthrie

Like these free pay parking spaces in Vancouver. I find it crazy that the economy is so goonered and yet Vancouver still makes shoppers pay through the nose to shop. They made 1.9 million last year while you “just stopped off or a liter of milk and a pack of menthols.” Downtown Calgary is getting savvy with free parking schedules so shoppers can shop and then not pretend it’s Easter with the kids wondering where the hell that F*@#$#’n bunny hid your Hummer.
