Anyone know what this is about? I was managing my plugins and looking to install one but this alert is preventing me from doing so. I don’t see any plugin named Code Freeze in my dashboard that could have been activated. I had been using this no issues for 4 months.

Never seen that before either. According to my research, the issue probably comes from the security plugin ‘Fortress’: https://snicco.io/blog/introducing-code-freeze

If you don’t see this as a plugin, have a look under ‘Must-Use’ plugins. If it is there, you can probably only deactivate it via FTP. If you are not aware that you have installed it, contact your hoster’s support team as some people on the net say that Fortress is used by some hosters.

Assuming you host at GridPane, check the “Code Freeze” section in the docs Here:

I did run into that article as well. Ok, looking at my “Must-Use” and it appears there:

Our WP is hosted by BlueHost though. Would they push this out? Should I reach out to them? This is a non-profit’s website I inherited and still learning the setup to help manage it since they don’t have an IT team.

Well, the name fits very well – GridPane. If you are unsure where the plugins come from, ask your host’s support. You should also be able to remove them via FTP (make a backup of the project beforehand, preferably also via the host).
