Monday night's northern lights started off calmly. Finally, it started to happen, rays were visible in the arcs. The intensely flashing northern lights rose from below, pulsating in waves. They appeared diffusely in the pictures. The air was humid which fogged the lens - the moon stuck to the pictures with the rim - even though it had no rim. I was able to clean the lens this way. Those coronas are also formed from pulsating auroras. So not traditional coronas.

Two satellites were traveling in opposite directions in the western sky. One of them brightened enough for me to make an observation. Video at 03:59:23 - 03:59:45.

It was even a special evening. At first, the northern lights were dimly visible and very faintly green. You could see movement with your eyes. There was just a lot of fog again and clouds below, so I didn't get any decent pictures. I went to make coffee and thought I'd go back and look again later. Oh well. The northern lights had turned into all sorts of fans. They were difficult to photograph. The green was visible clearly, but the phone couldn't properly show other colors. I put more balance on the pictures above my head. They were green even though they looked completely white....

The northern lights were faint at first, but after midnight they started to brighten. Plenty of pulsating patches from horizon to zenith. Videos shot northeast, showing the movements of the northern lights in chronological order from the entire observation period, sped up 25 times.

The evening's northern lights began to appear already in the twilight. Corona and rays already in the light sky. As the sky darkened, the northern lights filled the entire sky. Red and green rained down in the early evening, later changing to a green triumph. Flaming and pulsating patches in the late evening.

I was somewhere else filming the northern lights. Meanwhile, one Tapoc325wb recorded a fireball candidate and the other one was effectively acting as a babysitter. edit: Vesa's wish for a place to fly 21.19.26

The night lights were unusual, meaning there were fewer arc-ray phenomena. The main part was played by huge areas that appeared for maybe a second and then disappeared. It was just difficult to take a still photo of them that would show their fascination. They were perhaps pulsating auroras, but they didn't happen towards the end, but actually all the time. Every now and then half of the sky would flash with "seconds" of fire and it felt like I was being bombarded with lasers. Help!!!! I screamed in my mind. I saw the crescent moon for a moment, in the first picture. So it was a suitably w...

I was taking a picture of the Northern Lights when I noticed a light phenomenon flying straight across the horizon. The speed was so fast that I just managed to take a picture before it disappeared from view. It was bright in color and looking back at the picture I noticed that there must have been a few dimmer ones like it following it.

I'll make another trip outside for observation. On the first trip and when shooting from the balcony, the pictures were so dim due to the haze that I didn't even bother to report it. Of course, the bright arc was really colorful here too. The second time there was enough color. Although mostly green. I took so many pictures that my phone ran out of power :D I tried to catch the patterns that appeared and disappeared quickly. They only looked bright, but when I hit the pictures they were a strange color, strong green and pink. I'll post a couple of pictures that look blurry. It happ...

It's hard to report a sighting on a night like this. I'll post a few videos and pictures from Tapoje's recordings. There's a timelapse of a full-sky camera over a few hours on YouTube, if you're interested in the different phases of the storm in a condensed format. The exposure times of the individual images were far too long for that pulse, but Tapo can store the videos for a few days if needed for real-time videos. https://youtu.be/4TF7nh4YTMM
