What is YHack?

YHack is Yale’s flagship hackathon, bringing together 600+ college builders for 24 hours of weekend hacking. Participants will have access to hands-on hardware, technical workshops, recruiting events with leading tech companies, and a Red Bull–sponsored party during the weekend. We hope to see you there!

No. We accept people of all skill levels and YHack is a great event for many who haven’t participated in a hackathon.

After individual registration, we will send out an email regarding team registration. Teams can be of size 1–4.

Teams will present their work to judges!

Zilch, zero, nada, free!

Swag will be handed out to all participants!

YHack is an overnight event, and we'll have a designated sleeping area available at the venue for participants who want to rest. We recommend bringing the essentials, such as a sleeping bag and pillow.

Yes, this hackathon will have a hardware track!

Accepted participants will have the opportunity to apply for travel reimbursement. We expect to be able to support many participants traveling from the East Coast, with additional consideration given based on need or exceptional profiles.
