I saw my daughter using something similar to this, but my hesitation was that it could prevent the MagSafe charging feature from working. I have one of those battery pack cases, so that was another variable introduced. I am happy to report that it works, it is great, easy to remove, the magnet that gets adhered to your phone has a strong grip, and the product is made out of a strong material (metal-like). I wish I would have done this purchase earlier, love the stand to watch movies.

Great phone grip, it works very well! The magnet is strong enough and I have no problems holding my phone at all. Yet when I need to detach it, I can pull it off with a firm pull. I easily use the ring to stand my phone up and can watch movies on my phone. I do notice that sometimes I get a warning message on my Samsung S23 that the magnet may interfere with my smart pen function but it doesn't really affect me that much. I am afraid if I continue to open and close the ring grip a lot that it will loosen over time, but I guess only time will tell. I have no regrets with buying this ring grip. Due to the strength needed to remove ring from phone for wireless charging my Lamicall ring always breaks sometime between 6 and 12 months (I have bought this product 3 times). But for a product costing less than $20 on Amazon I am ok with the “expiration”

I've always liked having phone rings on my phone for both a grip and kickstand, but my biggest complaint about other phone rings is that the adhesive basically ruins whatever phone case I put it on, because it leaves a lot of sticky residue. I saw these magnetic phone rings on social media and wanted to check it out.

I initially thought that the ring was magnetically attached only via the MagSafe connector on the back of my iPhone 15, but the magnet on my phone isn't strong enough to solely support the grip (I couldn't carry my phone with the ring when it was only attached via the MagSafe magnet). The ring comes with a magnetic circle that you can stick onto your phone/phone case that the ring will magnetically attach to. The circle looks nice when I take the ring off (it's just a white circle circling over the Apple logo). I'm a little disappointed that I had to glue something to my phone case, and I'm hoping the adhesive will come off when I decide to swap or change my phone grip, but that could also be my fault for not fully researching this product beforehand.

In terms of the phone ring itself, I'm quite disappointed by it. When I use it as a phone grip it does feel a little flimsy and moves around. It works well as a kickstand. My biggest complaint is that when the ring is fully depressed in the circle, it is very difficult to take the ring out to use it. It's too deep and since I have very short nails, it is very hard to pull the ring out.

I might do an update later because at this point I'm not sure if I'll be keeping this on my phone. I like the design and magnetic aspect, but not sure about the actual functionality as a grip.

My only minor complaint is that I prefer not to have brand names visible on accessories — I wish the logo was placed on the inside of the ring instead. That said, it’s purely a cosmetic preference and definitely not something that affects performance, so I’m not taking off a star for it.

The difficult to fetch the ring from the dock is only a small discomfort compared to my overall function and use.
