Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. Your account drops to the free plan, which includes unlimited notes on unlimited devices with end-to-end encryption, and you can keep reading, editing and exporting everything you have written.

Yes. The free plan gives you unlimited notes on unlimited devices, end-to-end encrypted by default, with 50MB of attachment storage per month. There is no trial clock and no card required. Paid plans buy more attachment storage and larger file uploads.
