- Counting from rollout of the first 747 in 1968, that's ~54 years of building 747s. For perspective, a reminder that 1968 was only ~65 years after Wright Brothers' first flight. A great run considering it was originally expected to be quickly overshadowed by supersonic aircraft.There she goes! - A chaotic under-communicated layoff eliminated many of my closest colleagues and nobody we could talk to knew why. - Some cooling fans have a speed-reporting wire. Briefly flashing LEDs based on that tachometer signal creates a strobe light.
