- old, boring: software engineer who doesn't read the code new, exciting: musician who doesn't listen to the music
- "You can make any software you want now!" ??? you could always make any software you want
- 2070: React, Node, git are still ubiquitous. AI moved us up a level, and the lower levels ossified as usual. Most programmers have never thought about alternatives; a few deify the people who made them; a very few lament what could've been. The story of Unix, all over again.
