- Sometimes, with what I am generously assuming is the best of intentions, folks in OSS who deeply care about sustainability, make it harder for the rest of us trying to do this work... Logging off is a superpower. So is surrounding yourself with people you actually listen to.
- Amazon's reported US corporate/tech workforce is 330, 000 people So...that's a very real number of people who could potentially have a serious decision to make.Replying to @jo_byden and @IanColdwaterThere are approximately 12.9 million custodial parents in the U.S., which represents around 4% of the total population. wmtxlaw.com/divorce-and-cu….

Whatever facilitates the collaboration best for the type of work we're doing(roles and how they focus-time matter for productivity!) is where I'm excited to be(and most productive), and it has not, for me, been fully in-person.Read this take with a grain of salt. While I had fun hanging out with my coworkers back when I was in an office, I've been remote full-time for the past 6 years and I can't go back to an office. I get way more done at home and I'm not bogged down by a commute anymore. Community
- It is the kind of day that I am surprised I have not broken out in stress hives! Not sure whether to be proud of myself or just wait...
