Here's Claude 3 Haiku running at >200 tokens/s (>2x as fast as prod)! We've been working on capacity optimizations but we can have fun testing those as speed optimizations via overly-costly low batch size. Come work with me at Anthropic on things like this, more info in thread 🧵

Candidates often ask me about times Anthropic has made significant sacrifices in service of making AI go better for the world over profit, this is a new one to cite

Claude is good enough now that IMO this feature easily pays for itself in improved productivity for well-paid software engineers. People who try it love it and it’s easier than multi-Claude drifting.

Our teams have been building with a 2.5x-faster version of Claude Opus 4.6. We’re now making it available as an early experiment via Claude Code and our API.

I wrote a blog post on my journey trying to make a take-home that increasingly powerful models couldn't beat. We also released the original take-home for you to try, people tend to find it really fun! It's optimizing a parallel tree traversal on a simulated SIMD VLIW machine.

New on the Anthropic Engineering Blog: We give prospective performance engineering candidates a notoriously difficult take-home exam. It worked well—until Opus 4.5 beat it. Here's how we designed (and redesigned) it: anthropic.com/engineering/AI…

My 100% web app workflow for making custom laser cut art: 1. Nano Banana Pro asking for B&W silhouettes 2. visioncortex.org/vtracer/ to trace to SVG 3. graphite.art to edit 4. claude.ai/public/artifac… SVG to DXF script with rescaling by Claude 5. @sendcutsend for lasering
