Thought that was a resilient performance by the Herd last night. Fairfield kept 11 behind the ball for most of the evening, and aside from the miscue on the goal Marshall allowed, I thought the Herd did a good job probing the Stags’ defense.

The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning Board of Trustees approved a name-change for Southern Miss’ football stadium this morning. Effective Friday, August 21, Southern Miss’ stadium will be renamed to Renasant Stadium. hattiesburgamerican.com/story/sports/c…

Good read. Reminds me of Marshall OF Corey Bird, a 7th-round pick who made the Marlins for one day. He never played, was designated for assignment on his way back to the minors - never returned to MLB. A Marshall position player hasn’t had an MLB at-bat in 30+ years.
