    🇬🇧 Artverse is pleased to present its upcoming exhibition KOI NO YOKAN by artist POLYGON1993. 🖼️ Exhibition from July 4 to 31
🥂 Opening night July 4th from 6pm to 9pm (RSVP link in bio).
    This exhibition revolves around two untranslatable Japanese concepts. "Koi no Yokan" refers to the silent intuition that a feeling of love could arise from an encounter. "Gyakuyunyuu" (reimportation) evokes a cultural object that leaves its country of origin, transforms elsewhere, and returns enriched. This is precisely what POLYGON1993 does with Japanese visual culture from the 1990s–2000s. Their images, at once familiar and strange, emerge from a collective memory revisited through a Western gaze. They are born of a hybrid process: personal photographs run through circuit-bent analogue modules, corrupted and then reappropriated. Unstable colours, vibrating contours, textures caught between precision and degradation: technical error becomes poetic material.
