- [Instructor] When thinking about Oracles, there are a lot of abstract concepts to think about and consider, so let's take a look at some examples of Oracles that we can get a better grasp on it. There are several lists of Oracles that many testers have found to be helpful. Probably the best known summary of Oracles is the HICCUPP list. This is a list of Oracles that is all about checking for the consistency of what you're seeing with something else. So HICCUPP is a mnemonic that stands for history, image, comparable products, claims, user expectations, product and purpose. So, H-I-C-C-U-P-P, HICCUPP. These are all Oracles that are designed around consistency. Is it consistent with the history of the product or the way that we've always done things? Is what we are seeing consistent with the image that this product has? Maybe how it's marketed or how it's thought about in the market in general? Does this work in a…
