I'd like to distort the outline of a circles using noise. But the noise is distributed unevenly. In the areas marked, the distortion is noticeably reduced. How can I make the distortion along the outline completely uniform for a Voronoi texture? Thank you 🙏🙇

1$\begingroup$ The problem with this logic is that you connect a scalar value to a vector socket. The type coercion happens by triplicating the scalar value on all components of a 3D vector. This creates a strict correlation where x=y=z and this is what you see. Perhaps instead of "Fac" you want to use "Color". You may also want to disable "Normalize" option of the "Noise Texture" so that you don't have to subtract from it in order to have a symmetric range with average negative value cancelling out average positive value. $\endgroup$Markus von Broady– Markus von Broady2025-12-06 14:48:12 +00:00Commented yesterday

$\begingroup$ But I don't have a "Fac". Maybe you reviewed not my example? 🥺😔 $\endgroup$blenduser– blenduser2025-12-06 21:12:40 +00:00Commented 18 hours ago

$\begingroup$ @blenduser: he meant the fac output of the noise texture node in your image $\endgroup$Chris– Chris2025-12-07 08:16:54 +00:00Commented 7 hours ago
