I am an Internet security researcher with a background in information security and governance. My research interests revolve around understanding and improving the Internet for everyone, with a particular focus on security aspects. Most recently, I have been working on global-scale measurement of Internet service deployments and their security, data-driven security mechanisms, and the analysis of emerging technology and its implications. I view my work through the lens of real-world implications. The tech is not always what matters—it’s the embedding in our world that makes it meaningful. Hence, I work with other disciplines and industry alike to make the Internet a safer, more secure, and altogether more interesting and useful place. In addition to my research on Internet security, I am also dedicated to using my skills and expertise to make a positive impact on the world. I believe that everyone has the right to use the Internet safely and securely, and I am committed to working towards this goal through my research and collaboration with others. In my reasearch, I use global-scale measurement and data-driven security mechanisms to study the deployment and security of Internet services. I also analyze the implications of emerging technologies on the Internet. Whether I am conducting measurement studies or analyzing emerging technologies, I always have an eye towards finding practical solutions that can improve the Internet for all users.
