URAN Association community is participating in MANRS because routing security is a growing area of concern for network operators around the globe. Whether from accidental misconfiguration or malicious hijack, the results are often more than just inconvenient. Joining MANRS and the Internet2 community’s efforts connect us with a community of security-minded professionals and organizations committed to making the global routing infrastructure more robust and secure.

Connecticut Education Network originated as a research & education network and now functions as a Tier 2 ISP for multiple industry verticals. Responsible safeguards on the signaling plane ensure we're not contributing to the spoofing/hijacking problem, and membership in MANRS reflect our commitment to making the Internet a better place for our members and their constituents.

Having been introduced to MANRS through attendance at LINX 102 we could see that this was a great way for us to be able to benchmark ourselves against recognised best-practice. Today's society relies more and more on the Internet. It is therefore crucial that the stability and security of global routing is further increased. The MANRS initiative offers real added value in this respect by providing guidance and raising awareness among network operators.

RENU joins MANRS to improve its security posture on the internet by acting upon and deploying MANRS actions that can improve the security of the global routing table. For a long time, multiple routing incidents such as route hijacks, route leaks and IP address spoofing have occurred on the internet causing network outages and cost implications to many companies. RENU also wants to ease collaboration with other network operators thus encouraging stability and reliability on the internet.

DC1 is commited to be a good internet citizen, and strives to deploy responsible network routing practices as a foundation for a stable and secure internet for everyone.

Workonline implements the recommendations contained in the MANRS document by default. By publicly stating the measures that we take to ensure the robustness of our network, we hope to encourage our customers and peers to do the same.
