Since DeployGate’s launch 12 years ago, many developers have used our specialized services to distribute apps under development in their mobile app development work.

As part of this process to move “beyond distribution,” in August 2024, we officially released the “Capture feature” to obtain developer and tester feedback more smoothly.

Previously, the Capture feature was limited to the Flexible and Enterprise Plans for businesses and large organizations. Now, we’ve expanded it to the free Individual Plan as well!

The Capture feature automatically records and saves images (Screenshot Capture) and videos (Replay Capture) of errors discovered while testing apps distributed through DeployGate.

そして今回、さらなるキャプチャ機能のアップデートとして「リプレイ（録画）機能」をリリースいたしました。

背景

スクリーンショットキャプチャ機能のリリース以降、多くの方々にご活用いただいております。さらに便利にご利用いただくために、どのような機能が必要かを社内で重ねて検討した結果、アプリの動作確認時に一連の操作の流れを動画で共有できる機能のアイデアにたどり着きました。

不具合は突然発生するものであり、その瞬間に何をどう操作していたのかを後から正確に思い出すのは容易ではありません。

今回新たに開発したリプレイ機能では、アプリ操作の前後を自動で動画として記録できるため、テスター自身が状況を振り返るだけでなく、開発者とも正確な操作の流れを共有することができます。この機能により、不具合の報告はこれまで以上に効率的かつ確実に行えるようになります。

リプレイ（録画）機能とは

リプレイ（録画）機能を利用することで、アプリ動作試験中の端末画面を動画で記録することが可能となります。SDKの導入なしで活用でき、画面録画を終了する30秒前までの録画が保存され、開発者に簡単に録画内容を共有できます。
