Nice Rookie Card Relic

Finally I am back. I havent had a lot of time to post with camps, phone disfunctions, and who else knows what clogging up my time. However, I am making an effort to get back to blogging. Today I am posting about a Trent Edwards card my brother Connor got me at a card show he was at with fellow bloggers Drew and Schuyler. By the way if you havent checked out Drew's blog, there is an awesome giveaway going on so go check it out. Anyway they were at a card show in the area and Connor got me a really nice card.

Pictured is the card with relics filling "QB" the postition Trent Edwards.

Currently, Trent Edwards is a quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Before the Eagles, he was the backup in Jacksonville behind Blaine Gabbert and starting QB for my favorite team, the Buffalo Bills. There he earned the nickname "Captain Checkdown" for his frequent use of the checkdown routes instead of passing deep. In Buffalo he never had a complete season and wasn't really the QB the Bills needed. In his best season he had 11 TD's to 11 Interceptions which isn't really a good number. However he managed to complete more than 65% of his passes.

I have always been a fan of Trent Edwards, being that he is classy abd a very likeable guy. I even bought a jersey right before he was shipped right out of Buffalo. Anyway this card is a really nice rookie, relic card and I would love to know what you guys think. By the way thanks again Connor!

What do you want to see?

It really feels like I need to dust off this blog. Its been what at least a month? Well my collection had been a little bit stagnant as of late (not as much as my blog though). I hope to pick up some cards soon and get back to blogging. Although there is one thing standing in my way, THE FINALS ARE COMING THE FINALS ARE COMING! Yepp, final exams are coming soon and I will ne studying alot so blogging will be miniscule. Now the main question, what do you want to see? I will be posting a blog soon and what should the topic be. I am trying to keep my few (if any) followers interested and get the crowd into it if you know what I mean. Here are the topics:
Topps 2012 and Allen and Ginters 2011 pickups

Bucky Dent auto

Two secret pages from my card binder (nothing huge just some stuff I thought was cool)

My Easter collection box

Last but certainly not least Mail from William

TTM #1-Yankee Prospect

Hey Guys!
So I would say today was a successful day.  First, I had a half day for school and then I was going out to lunch and get some cards after.  I opened a couple packs on the way home (Topps Heritage 2011 and Topps 2012) and went to check the mail.  My mom had said "Connor you got another one of those mail things back", and I was disappointed that I still haven't gotten one.  Out of anger I said: "It could be mine" and what do ya know the envelope read to Matt. I was so excited I almost forgot to open the envelope! The envelope seemed considerably light and my heart dropped as I thought there was nothing inside, however there was something inside.  I tore open the envelope and this is what I saw.

Austin Romine, a Yankee catching prospect had signed my custom! The card is in great condition and the autograph looks awesome.

Romine was called up late last season and showed some potential at the big league level. Personally I think he has a shot to become a great catcher in the MLB.

The Start of a Set

Hi guys,
Let me start off by saying it has been a long time since my last post. Things have been busy and I have really gotten behind on my blogging. Expect some blogs because I recently purchased packs of 2012 Topps and my first packs of Allen and Ginter's. However I do have a rough stretch in school with a 9 page research paper coming up. I will do my best to post though. Now to what I really posted for. I am starting a set, my first as a collector. I am starting the 1988 Score set(looks like the Orel Hersheiser card pictured). I am buying some packs online so if anybody has any suggestions on websites to get cheap packs if you would tell me them via comment it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I will be starting the 1988 Donruss collection. So if anybody would like to work out any trades on those two types of cards (or any card actually) then please comment. Thanks! See tou guys later!
