Complete Your Decision in Three Steps
1
Confirm Your Decision
Complete the Intent to Register (ITR) form in the application status portal and pay your $200 advance tuition deposit. This deposit goes toward your tuition in your first quarter and can be paid by electronic check or credit card.
2
Register for Housing
Access the My Housing portal 4 days after your admission notification to register. You will need your UO ID, which begins with 95 and was sent via email. Explore residence halls, communities, room types, and meal plans.
Transfer students: Housing registration required only if you’d like to live in on-campus residence halls.
3
Claim Your Duck ID
Your Duck ID is your unique username representing the first part of your email address before “@uoregon.edu”.
It acts as the primary login for key student services such as the learning management system, academic advising, wi-fi, and many other benefits. Use your 95 number located in your application status portal to help get your Duck ID.
First-year fall students: Confirm your decision (submit your ITR) by 11:59 pm on May 1. Contact us if you need information for spring, summer or winter terms.
Understanding Your Financial Aid Offer
Admitted students will receive financial aid offers between late March and early April. Keep an eye on your UO application status portal — your letter will appear there as soon as it’s ready. Once you’ve received it, you can explore what each part of the offer means and how it all fits together.
Come visit us!
Visiting campus in Eugene is the best way to experience what life as a Duck will be.
Admitted Student Tours
- Spend a morning or afternoon exploring campus (minimum 2 hours, with options to extend)
- Offered most weekdays and Saturdays from February through April
- Includes a group presentation (up to 150 students) and a campus tour capped at 25 guests
- Student-led academic tours available on select weekdays
- Free to attend, registration required
Important: When registering for a campus visit, please wait to make travel arrangements until you have received your confirmation email. These events often fill to capacity and once that occurs, we are unable to change your registration to accommodate previously made travel plans. For instance, we cannot add you to a full event even if you’ve made flight reservations before registering.
IntroDUCKtion — Registration Opens May 18
IntroDUCKtion is UO’s required orientation and your official launch into life as a Duck. During this immersive 2-day experience, you’ll build your class schedule with academic advisors, connect with other new Ducks (your future lifelong friends), and learn how to navigate campus resources that support your success from day one.
You’ll also get a feel for UO traditions, expectations, and the opportunities that make the Duck experience unique before your first term even begins.
Parents and Families
IntroDUCKtion includes programming designed for parents and families to help support your student. Learn about Parent and Family Programs, fall move-in and Week of Welcome, understanding the UO degree, academic support services, First-Year Programs, University Housing, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Business Affairs, and ways to get involved.
Attendance Details
You may preview the IntroDUCKtion dates via the links below, but please do not book travel in advance of receiving your confirmed registration. Each date has capacity limits that once met can not be shifted to accommodate pre-made travel plans. Please note, IntroDUCKtion is a paid event to cover the costs of the two-day experience.
